Appalling Experience – Discriminatory Behavior and Unprofessionalism - Edit
I don’t typically write reviews, especially negative ones. I work in public service, and I deeply respect and empathize with how difficult service jobs can be. I’m patient, kind, and understanding, especially with wait staff. But the experience I had with my family on the evening of April 9, 2025, at Condado Tacos at The Greene was so upsetting and, frankly, discriminatory, that I feel compelled to speak up.
Read moreMy husband, mom, daughter, and I arrived around 7 PM. There was no signage indicating whether to wait to be seated, and no staff in sight to clarify. It was our first time there, and the atmosphere felt casual, so we cautiously seated ourselves while continuing to look for guidance. Eventually, we identified two individuals who, though unidentifiable as employees due to their plain clothing and lack of acknowledgment, kindly told us it was no problem and brought over a high chair for our toddler, placing it at the end of the table, as is common practice in most restaurants.
Shortly after, a woman, who we later learned was the manager, Brooke Rybicki, began walking by our table repeatedly, casting unmistakable, hostile looks toward me and my child. My husband, a detective, immediately picked up on her body language: sighs, eye rolls, and facial expressions filled with clear disdain. We could tell she was upset that the high chair was partially in the aisle, despite the fact that her own staff had placed it there and there was still adequate room to walk by.
She eventually approached and, though polite in tone, insisted we move the chair. While feeding a toddler from the side, parallel to them, is difficult (any parent knows this), the way she handled the situation made us feel targeted and unwelcome. Things escalated when a friend stopped by our table briefly. I stepped into a more open area to speak with him, and again, her glare was so pointed and inappropriate that my husband, who rarely shows discomfort, was visibly unsettled.
What’s worse is that we were the only interracial family and only people of color in the restaurant at the time. I hate to assume motives, but there was no other clear reason for the repeated coldness and glares we received from Brooke. Maybe it was because we sat ourselves, maybe she doesn’t like kids, but I left that restaurant with the overwhelming feeling that we were treated differently, and that treatment felt rooted in bias. if you are a person of color, have young children, or are in an interracial family, be warne
Pros: Alex our waiter
Cons: General manager - Brooke Rybicki

I’m so sorry to hear of your experience there! We recently have been there and we were so happy with the food and experience we went back the following week. The second time it was very busy so it took some time to have the waiter come over. We were outside on a beautiful evening so we didn’t care that it was taking some time. There was an adorable little girl about 2 yrs old who was dancing to the music in the open area. She was with her mom and grandma (black family). That evening with our waiter and their waiter it seemed that all was a good experience. I just wanted to share and I’m very disappointed to hear about your interactions with the manager!

Good vegan options - Edit
Best vegan options at the Greene. They have a standard vegan taco on the menu (Dutch Dragon) and you can also make your own tacos. They offer tofu, veggie chorizo & portobello mushrooms as filling options

Many vegan options! - Edit
I loved Condado when I was a non-vegan and happy I can still enjoy it as a vegan! They recently changed their bean recipe to remove dairy, so those are now vegan! They have lots of guac and salsa options as well as many veggie toppings. Their protein choices include Thai chili tofu, veggie chorizo, and mushrooms. You could also do rice and beans. My favorite is the veggie chorizo! You can customize and build your own tacos, nachos and bowls. A must try!

Great options! - Edit
I consider a place truly "vegan friendly" if it offers a vegan protein and/or vegan cheese, and this place delivers! The Power Plant with no cheddar or queso is to die for. Their Korean BBQ jackfruit is also pretty good, you don't see jackfruit a lot in Ohio. They're also open pretty late most nights and serve a handful of cocktails.
