Will be back for more! - Edit
We came here for a late lunch today & were not disappointed! The food was delicious, the coconut milk shake( they make their milk in the house) tasted like a dessert pudding & even water was tasty infused with mint & cucumber. The space itself was very pleasant, open & full of light. Hopefully will have another chance to come back!

I was very happy with this place. Good, clean food. I'd definitely go back. They have moved to Loiza street as of now, Dec 2, 2014.

Excellent Eats!!! - Edit
Once known as “Café Mam” now known as the “Coco Bana” is still known for their Vegetarian eats. We (my wife and I) were there on a Wednesday and took the special of the day which was “sopa de habas, canelones rellenos de tofu y espinaca, zanahoria en vinagreta de ajonjolí y ensalada verde (bean soup, cannelloni stuffed with tofu and spinach, carrot and sesame vinaigrette green salad)”. Delicious!!!
Read moreBeing this restaurant recently moved from a shared location into its own store front which is located on 2000 Calle Loiza, 00911 San Juan, Puerto Rico you will find some things are still in the works. It’s now located on the main avenue with the only readily available parking is curb side. After speaking with the owner I was informed they have additional parking space located behind KFC (both businesses share the same parking space). They are considering valet parking because of the business being on the main avenue. There are so many plans in the works this report on “Coco Bana” can easily become yesterday’s news. Even their hours may expand to evening, the owner informs.
This is a great place that will be well worth your time and taste. Follow them on Facebook to see what the special of the day is. Recommend calling prior to visit.
Please follow through with a post of your personal experience for the Happy Cow community.
While on the way into the restaurant, enjoy the painted art on the outside of the business. I did :-)
Pros: Excellent food and drinks, Inexpensive., Friendly service.

most friendly and lovely food! - Edit
We found this place a bit hidden, please be aware the owner told us there will be a NEW LOCATION from Jan 2014 on, they move in Ocean Park to Loiza Street in front of Mc Donalds.
Read moreWe've had the home-fresh-made Coconut Smoothies (big variety) and some great vegan food. It was all over very delicious and the owner was so caring and nice to us. They certainly will try to cater appropriate to your diet. It's a great restaurant and I'm curious about the new opening. If we go back to Puerto Rico, this is on our list!
