Vegan coffee shop and bakery near Chatelet-Les Halles station, since 2016. Specialty is cupcakes. Serves coffee and drinks, a selection of lunch dishes including a salad, bowl, sloppy joe burger, avocado toast, grilled cheese, soup, hummus sandwich, and of course, vegan croissants and pastries. Offers breakfast Monday through Saturday. Breakfast is from 9-11am (this location's speciality is pancakes) and lunch is served till 12-3pm. On Sunday there is two brunch sittings at 11:30am and 1:30pm - reservations are recommended. Kitchen closed 11-12 pm. Open Mon-Sat 09:30-18:30, Sun 11:00-16:00.

I really enjoyed this spot. It’s a very small cute cafe (wish there were more seats outside tho!) and the staff is very friendly. The croissant is buttery and flakey yum! I also had the vegan tosti which was okay. I would say it’s a great place for the small bakery items.

Had lunch and some cakes in this location also took some cakes to go as they are delish. The matcha latte on the other hand is not so good I would not recommend.
Read moreI’ve had a few times their muffins which flavors were banana bread and red velvet. As well as their croissant.
However the way that the tables are set up is a bit cramped as people wait in line next to where you are seated.
I would definitively go back for cakes to dine in or for take out.

The cakes, cupcakes, croissants, coffee and everything else is super delicious! My only gripes were that there was always a bit of a language barrier and their opening hours, especially the switch from breakfast to lunchtime was really confusing... There was an hour between them when the place was open but you basically couldn't get anything... But the location is cool, it's a nice neighborhood!

They had an English menu online and in store which really helped and the staff also spoke English.
The grilled cheese should be renamed to mushroom sandwich with cheese. It was basically stuffed with mushroom and had a tiny bit of cheese. It didn’t state mushrooms on the menu at all and I DESPISE mushrooms so sadly I didn’t even eat it. My husband had it and said it was okay but wouldn’t order it again.
The soup tasted like just blended broccoli and nothing else. It really lacked flavor. I ate about half and then couldn’t finish anymore.
The avocado toast was good. It does need a little salt but the pomegranate seeds added a nice sweet flavor and I did enjoy it. I would order it again if I went back.
The banana muffin was also very good and flavorful.
The chai latte was the best I’ve had in Paris and I have had many during my stay. I absolutely would go back just to get another latte if I was near here again.
The girl who brought our food was nice and politely told us to not change tables as it confused them when bringing food and I let her know we never switched tables. She then made a comment that came off as if she didn’t believe us and then we saw her go ask the girl who placed out order about it. Don’t know if she thought we were lying but the whole situation came off really weird and off putting sadly.
Overall, I would come back here for the pastries and chai but probably not the food unless I was starving.

I went for brunch, an after 45 minutes waiting on the table te came back to told me they just ran out of them. Terrible attitude and no options to solve their mistake. Never going back.

I ordered hot chocolate, marble cake and carrot cake. Cakes were dry and tasteless. All tasted like sugar. I mean yeah those has to be sweet, but marble cake and carrot cake should have more depth aka spices. Worst carrot cake what I've eaten. Hot chocolate was too sweet in my opinion also. My teeth were covered in sugar afterwards.

About service. Whom served me had to ask multiple times my order even though after each time when I told my order and where I'll sit they said 'okay' and repeated my words which indicates for me that they understood what I said. It wasn't that I was unclear or my pronunciation. I think they were just way too busy and forget straight after what I said. That is why I don't blame the person, more of the business maybe not giving them enough pauses to rest their minds.

Ginger Beetroot Latte - Edit
I visited Cloud Cakes in December of 2019 which is three years ago. I’m writing a review because the ginger beetroot latte was amazing and I keep thinking about it. After my trip to Paris I tried remaking the latte and was never able to reproduce the same balanced flavors. I’m looking forward to going to cloud cakes again just to have another ginger beetroot latte.

If I were a dog… - Edit
If I were a dog, the only thing that could have made this experience better would have been a good tummy scratch after I’d wolfed down those wonderful pancakes and managed to lick the maple syrup from my whiskers. Well… that and maybe a scratch behind the ears while I was lapping up a gorgeous beetroot & ginger latte. Although seriously, to be fair, if I was a dog, I think I’d have got a lot of attention from the smiley, happy humans who work there!

This is a great little bakery that offers vegan pastries and cakes as well as smaller main courses. We had a grilled cheese sandwich with a wonderful lentil soup. It really was stunning and took away a croissant and marble cake for the following days travels in Disney. Great quaint locations that’s feels very authentic Parisian. Very highly rated
