Perfect for a quick lunch

I got the grilled cheese and Thai soup. The soup was great, the grilled cheese was a little skimpy but did the trick. Overall it was a great spot to grab a quick vegan lunch.

Excellent!!!!

The variety, the customer service, and the coffee, are all excellent. And be on the lookout for a cat on the second floor across the street! Tremendous flavors. And the macarons were perfect!

Pros: Variety, Good size coffee!!!, Expertly baked!

Cons: I had to travel across the Atlantic Ocean! 🥺

Lovely location, average bakes

Sadly, considering the offer of Paris and the quality of other bakes out there, Cloud Cakes didn't delivered.
The place has an amazing location, close to the museums and close to the shops.
But the menu was very average, the bakes were somewhat small and greasy - I had a choco almond pain, not sure what it was, and my coffee was burned.
There was a family next to me who ordered two granola bowls and an avocado toast who arrived first and got their food after me. We even saw someone from the kitchen go outside to buy ingredients.

Pros: Location, Easy menu

Cons: Burned coffee, Pain au chocolat or almond croissant, not both

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

That said, we need to address a few points in your review.

You describe our menu as “average”, but this is not something we recognize at all. Our offer includes a wide and varied selection of fully vegan dishes such as grilled cheese, soup, our new vegan egg muffins with vegan bacon, pancakes and French toast with homemade chocolate-caramel or homemade strawberry compote, breakfast burritos, tofu scramble pancakes, fresh salads, a tofu satay bowl, an açaí bowl, and several other regularly appreciated dishes. We are genuinely curious to understand what part of this you consider “average”.

Regarding timing in service, it is possible that other tables were served before yours. We understand this can be frustrating, but it can simply happen due to kitchen workflow and the fact that different dishes require different preparation times. This is part of the reality of made-to-order cooking.

You also mention seeing someone from the kitchen go out to buy ingredients. We honestly do not see what the issue is here. Of course, we do not grow vegetables in the restaurant, nor do we produce chocolate. Cacao grows on trees that, surprisingly, do not fit in our dining room, and even if they did, they would not grow here anyway, as cacao only grows in specific regions of the world. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenient reality.

The same applies to coffee beans. We source them from a dedicated roaster, because, again, coffee trees unfortunately cannot be grown inside the restaurant, and even if space allowed it, coffee only grows in certain parts of the world. We apologize once more for this unfortunate limitation.

In conclusion, we understand that your experience may have been influenced by timing in service. However, we do not believe this justifies presenting our menu or our concept in a way that is inaccurate and dismissive, especially considering the care and work that goes into our fully vegan kitchen.

Warm regards,
The Cloud Cakes team 🌱

Not as good as I expected

We had a lunch with cheddar tosti, soup and milkshake. The soup was nice, but no 5 stars. The tosti and milkshake were very nice. We took out a chicken and a tuna double sandwich plus 6 macrons. The macrons were amazing, the sandwiches a real disappointment.

Very lovely

The food was very good! We came here after 15:00 and „only“ had vegan croissants and macarons because the kitchen was already closed for the day. We came back again and had a very yummy avocado toast. It was a bit pricey for the portion size but still okay. English was no problem at all and staff was very friendly! Definitely worth a visit.

We had a delicious brunch here- the sloppy joes were very good and the came with a yummy purple cabbage salad. The coffee and desserts were good as well; we especially really liked the carrot cake. The kitchen closes at 3, so don’t plan to eat here later in the afternoon.

Incredible cake, service not so

I arrived just after 3 so lunch service was over. Opted for the pre-made ‘ham’ sandwich from the counter (containing La vie ham) and a slice of raspberry vanilla cake.

Service was okay, not particularly friendly and on multiple occasions I could see the server pick cake crumbs from the counter and eat them with his hands, and then proceed to serve customers (touching their food) with the same hands unwashed. Perhaps I’m picky but it felt off.

Sandwich was just okay. Probably pricey at €5.60 for a basic sandwich.

The cake was simply incredible. The best vegan cake I have eaten. Sponge was so light and fluffy and had I not been in a shop that was clearly labelled vegan I would’ve been concerned that it wasn’t vegan!!!

Ultimately my experience could’ve been better and my review would’ve been less stars had it not been for the incredible cake.

I hope to revisit and have a better experience as clearly the quality of the bakes on offer is brilliant.

Pros: Raspberry vanilla cake , Quiet location

Cons: Pricey , Service

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback.

We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the raspberry vanilla cake so much. Comments like yours are incredibly rewarding for our pastry team, and we're especially pleased that you found it to be one of the best vegan cakes you've ever had.

Regarding the sandwich, we're sorry that it did not fully meet your expectations. As for the price, it reflects not only the ingredients used, including premium vegan products, but also the reality of operating a small independent business in central Paris.

Concerning your observation about our staff member, we take hygiene very seriously. However, we would like to clarify that our team members wash their hands regularly throughout service, and we have strict food safety procedures in place. It is possible that what you observed did not accurately reflect the full sequence of actions taking place behind the counter. Nevertheless, we will remind the team to remain mindful that customer perception is important, even when proper hygiene procedures are being followed.

We're also sorry if the service felt less friendly than expected. Providing a welcoming experience is important to us, and we'll take your comments into consideration.

Thank you again for your kind words about our cakes and for giving us the benefit of the doubt. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back and provide an experience that matches the quality of the pastries you enjoyed.

Warm regards,
The Cloud Cakes team 🌱

Cloud cakes

When I go back to Paris, I am most definitely coming here again. The menu was huge and I had such a hard time deciding what to get!

In the end, I had a sesame (black) latte, pain au chocolat, and a slice of carrot cake. The latte was actually not that good. It just tasted like oat milk, which I don’t mind so much but I did order a sesame latte. I mixed it a few times but nothing really happened. When I was about halfway through my cup, I got curious and used a spoon, and there was just loads of sesame crumbles?? Down in the bottom that just wouldn’t mix in with the drink.

I haven’t had a pain au chocolat since I went vegan and oh my gosh I didn’t realize how much I missed it. The croissant just at hit the spot for me.

The carrot cake was pretty good, but I had to scrape off the frosting on top because it was rock hard and I didn’t like it so much. The cafe itself was pretty nice, with a light blue theme, and I got a free sticker that is now on my phone case. The bathroom was very odd, but I don’t really mind.
