A gem in Howard St. Bed -Stuy

Cicchetti, a Venetian bacaro that opened just four months ago in Bed-Stuy, has quickly become one of my favorite places to meet friends, especially on Sundays late afternoons.
The live jazz is exceptional. This is a serious music venue (check their calendar) an eclectic crowd, and a relaxed atmosphere.
The attention to detail, from the glassware and cutlery to the warm service, makes every visit special.
As a vegan, I was delighted to see the menu expanding. On my latest visit, we tried the new vegan Pomodoro, and it was absolutely delicious. Pair it with their refreshing Spritz while enjoying the music, and you have a perfect afternoon. I was told the vegan menu will continue to grow, giving me even more reasons to return.
Cicchetti is well worth the trip from any borough.

Thank you so much for this, and for coming back to try the new pomodoro. The vegan menu really is only growing from here, we're glad you're along for it. See you Sunday soon 🍷

Such a great place!!

First of all- the place is beautiful, has a great chill vibe with lots of community events like free markets, jazz nights on Sunday and Tuesday, and many others. Second of all- the wine and spritz collections is really good and reasonably priced, and the Italian authentic food (the owner is from Rome and has lived in the neighborhood 15 years) is amazing, with lots of dishes that are either vegan by default or vegan optional (see attached photos), including a dessert and a recently added tomato and rice dish that’s perfect in it’s simplicity. Whole heartedly recommended!
