Decent burritos - Edit
This Chilango is in Boxpark Croydon and has a separate area for ordering, with 4 different screens, which I think could be really useful to avoid queuing in busy times. They have a few vegan options, with This Isn’t Chicken offered as a meat substitute, although they don’t have vegan cheese or sour cream alternatives, so if you order something such as a burrito that would have these in you just have to exclude them. The menu was simple enough to navigate although it did have options to include non-vegan options (such as cheese) when ordering a vegan product, so you do have to be careful not to add something non-vegan by accident. We ordered the “This Isn’t Chicken Burrito”, which was satisfying and large - I found it very filling and the This Isn’t Chicken made it really tasty. I thought the price was fair for what it was – decent chain food, tasty but nothing special. There were also a few mistakes in our order – the wrong salsas added/excluded from both burritos, which didn’t really matter to us but just felt a bit sloppy. The extra guacamole we each ordered for our burritos also came in a separate pot (and all in just one pot for both of us to eat together), which again was not a big issue but was a bit of a nuisance as it meant we had to add it to our burritos as we ate them rather than just being in there. Overall the selection at Chilango is ok if you’re looking for a satisfying, filling meal for a decent price, but it doesn’t feel hugely catered towards vegans (if you’re anywhere near a Club Mexicana definitely check them out instead!).
