Sad it's not fully vegan anymore - Edit
I've been here a couple of times when it was Vegan Space and it was sad to see there are not as many vegan options as before. Everything you see at the store is what you can see from other stores but I'm sure it's conveniently located for many vegans who are already in the area!

Some vegan food, but hard to identify - Edit
Shop appears to have a good selection of items and says ‘vegan’ on the front. But most items are not vegan and it’s hard to identify which ones are. Some items are labelled in green which I assumed meant vegan, but many of these items were not actually vegan. Not a bad option if you know what you’re looking for.

Everything sold in Charlies can be found online or elsewhere, for a significantly lower price.
Read moreI understand that some people want to go to a physical store or need something in an emergency, and that's cool.
But Charlie's turned down local vegan vendors who wanted to sell their products there. So I don't think they are in it for community, veganism, environmentalism, or anything other than money.
I have been here previously and the staff members were not friendly.

clearly asked for them to make chai "very hot" because too often get luke warm drink. store was not busy and she understood but still gave us two luke warm drinks. wont come back, but they clearly dont care.

Disregarding the fact that there used to be a fully vegan grocery here, there is still a decent assortment of vegan food products. Vegan options are clearly labeled with a green sticker next to the name and price.
Read moreYou can find a number of vegan "cheeses", meat imitations and plant-based milk - most of which are imported. There are also regular grocery items that are vegan by default, e.g. pasta, jam, certain bread, nuts and dried fruits.
The place offers also a couple of coffee beverages which you can enjoy on site.
Pros: many options for a "regular" grocery store
