Serves meat, vegan options available. Pub offering vegan dishes such as a vegan pie of the day. Dogs and children welcome. Open Mon-Thu 12:00-23:00, Fri-Sat 12:00-01:00, Sun 12:00-23:00.
The veggie Sunday roast was a lot more interesting here than at other local pubs. I had a sweet potato Wellington with all the sides. They have both vegetarian and vegan (plant based) options
Came in for a quick pint but they've earned a new regular. The menu is constantly changing based on fresh locally sourced ingredients - nothing frozen or lazy here.
They aren't a vegan place, but the options on the menu are well created, no 'heres ya frozen burger as a nod to vegans'. I had the homemade vegan pie which was a ratatouille base with vegan cheese and pastry which was very good. Friendly staff and the chef was out happy to discuss the food. While there I overheard him discussing the next menu with the landlord, all based off of fresh ingredients and changing all the time.
While it's not a fully veg/vegan place it was great to have an interesting and very tasty option which really stands out from your average place with the token vegan option
