Serves meat, vegan options available. Italian food restaurant with vegetarian options. Reported that the supposed vegan ravioli turned out to contain cheese. Removed Mar 2018 - does not cater for vegans.
The decor is great, prices are low and the food was pretty good but our experience was pretty awful due to the service. There were many waiters and busboys around but they seemed to consistently forget about our simple requests. (water, drinks salt etc..) Also, their vegan ravioli has cheese, so I'm not sure they really understand the concept... I had penne with tomato sauce and veggies. It wasn't extraordinary, but it was decent. I wouldn't go back. Go to El tenedor instead.
Best Deal as an Italian Restaurant in Playa - Edit
This restaurant is very well known and visited in the local and expat community in Playa. It is not on the main touristic streets so it can keep the prices much lower, while still being close and easy to reach. The place as well as the service and food quality are on pair to most Italian restaurants in the city, but to a much lower price. Several vegetarian options, pizza as well as home made pasta. Some of the fresh pasta is made with egg, some don't, just check with them. Very good sauce made with plenty of fresh veggies.

no vegan options - Edit
There are no vegan options in Casa Sofia and they won't prepare anything special for you.
