Best Vegan Food!

I can not recommend this place enough for vegans. The food is out of this world and there’s plenty of it! Carolyn takes real pride in her cooking and it shows. Almost everything was made from scratch. I’ll definitely be back!

Pros: Excellent vegan food , Amazing value , Friendly hosts

Cons: No cons, so can I add more pros? , I will anyway- cute dog! , Peaceful location

Vegan delights....

Chose this place because of the vegan options and to recover from one of our recent extreme running events - it did not disappoint. Carolyn’s food is absolutely delicious and well worth booking during your stay. Breakfast and evening meals were plentiful, creative and moreish. John and Carolyn couldn’t do enough to help us get the most from our stay with ideas of where to visit & how to get there. We had the pleasure of seeing the 4 yearly Flower festival and getting massages during our visit, another bonus worth enquiring about during your stay, very reasonable prices and added to the total relaxation vibe. The house & pool area are spotlessly clean & there is a nice walk to the local village for a beer, coffee or ice cream. They do have a gorgeous rescue dog so it is worth noting if dogs aren’t your thing and 2 of the rooms aren’t en-suite but the balcony and private bathrooms for each make up for that, we were fine nipping to the loo in our bathroom in the fluffy robes provided, made for a home from home feel. There is a train track nearby which you can hear when they pass but I’m a very light sleeper and it didn’t bother me. It is quite remote but again that’s what we wanted & there are things to see and do just a train ride or taxi ride away which John & Carolyn can help you organise. Would love to book the whole place with vegan mates & enjoy a total chill long weekend / midweek break

Pros: Home cooked Vegan meals , Friendly hosts , Lovely pool area

Cons: Not that much nearby - but we were happy with that

If you’re vegan it’s the only place to stay.

Had a two night stay here for our anniversary. My wife and I are both vegan and Carolyn made us so welcome. Being vegan herself and a very talented chef she fed us really healthy plant based food for our breakfast and evening meal. The highlight was the special vegan dinner she made on the evening of our special day. It was Moroccan with all the trimmings and was one of the tastiest vegan meals I have had whilst eating out. Thoroughly recommended. The accommodation was top notch too. All in all 5 stars all round. We will be going back...

Pros: Beautiful scenery and country walks. , Close to Tomar. , Fantastic vegan food (Carolyn also caters for meat

Cons: None. Well done!

Wonderful B&B in the quaint village of Fungalvas

Had the most incredible stay here last October. The guests are treated like family and the vegan food is delicious...especially the stuffed cabbage!! Can't wait to visit again.

Delicious BBQs

I will never forget the lovely outdoor BBQs by the pool. Carolyn cooked us some delicious smoked tofu kebabs, and lots of delicious salads to go with it. My favorite thing was perhaps the barbecue roasted potatoes with her homemade garlic vegan aioli; it was a real treat. I recommend to anyone looking for a refreshing summer al fresco dining experience :)
