The food was great, well seasoned and even side salad had walnuts which was a great touch. Great friendly atmosphere. Very nice lady the sister of the owner speaks good English.

Website and signs in the town said “vegan cafe” but the owner doesn’t seem to make a difference between vegan and vegetarian 🙈 We only took some drinks. She was very friendly though, and the atmosphere and music were very cosy!

Owner chance, not vegan anymore - Edit
I had contacted the restaurant a few days ago to ask about the co-working options and got told that the ownership changed in December 2024 but the new owners were not able to change the phone number yet on their website. Got the new number, got no response, so we went directly to eat.

But they don't seem to know what 'vegan' is: They had enchiladas and a lasagna on menu, both with cheese, but labelled to be vegetarian or vegan. So I asked for the vegan version, got assured twice everything is vegan but could only last-minute stop the chef putting cheese on my enchiladas...
Both meals were served decorated nicely, looked very good. But sadly the enchiladas, the lasagna (without any pasta) and the rice were only lukewarm. Strange, as we were the only guests cooked for. The taste was still okay, but nothing special. 13€ I found rather expensive for what we got.
I liked the atmosphere of the place, the simple menu, the interior, but it all just seemed to be the remainings of the previous owner, without the new owners having an idea of what and how to keep it on: Some menu items are crossed out and replaced on the paper menu (like fresh juice replaced by Coke) but they are still up on the menu on the wall.
The chalk board put outside advertising still claims a party every Thursday night and live music on Sunday night, but yesterday's Sunday had no live music. Fair enough so off-season (throughout the evening there were only two other guests), but then don't claim it on the chalk board! The paper menus seemed to be the old ones from the previous owner instead of based on the fresh ingredients from the market as advertised on the website: Some things crossed out, some changed, all in English but they don't speak English themselves.
All in all a sad story, sad the previous owner left, sad the new ones don't know veganism, are lovely but not the best at preparing food, the place just looks like it's best time is over and there is no new concept yet...

We went on a Wednesday night, they only had one food option available per course. One soup, one main dish, one dessert. But the food was delicious and I liked not having to think about what to eat! I also loved the owner, super friendly and nice! Would definitely recommend!

It was so nice to find this cute little vegan café at the end of a long day's walking along the coast on the Fisherman's Trail. My iced coffee with oatmilk & caramel went down a treat, as did the accompanying banana muffin. Prices are fair and the staff are lovely! What's not to like?

Walking the Fisherman’s trail is a bit of a vegan food desert. Until this place was marketed on a roadside sign. Walked here for some sanctuary and a great chocolate chip cookie.

I really like their concept: The charm of an old Cantinho is still visible, but they gave it a modern twist. They had 3 different savory meals of the day and several sweets. The prices are really fair and the atmosphere nice. I would have loved to be there for a dinner on Thursday.

Excellent vegan food, very friendly staff! I went there several times - for lunch as well as for the Thursday events. There is usually one dish a day (always something different) and also sweets and snacks. So basically the place to be to try a variety of great vegan food :)

Bestes Essen, dass ich während meines Urlaubs an der Algarve (mit Ausflug nach Vila Nova De Milfontes) hatte. Portion hätte evtl. etwas größer sein dürfen, dafür war dann wenigsten noch Platz für das ebenfalls sehr leckere Bananenbrot!

We ate there twice and the food was soooo delicious. We loved everything the vibe, the atmosphere and of course the dinner and the bliss balls . Definitely a huge recommendation.
