Literally can’t believe it isn’t meat. Dairy or diary free cheese options I had the Philly and the buffalo chicken egg rolls AMAZING. Each came with fries so that mashed the price pretty good. Very filling #Veganuary

I had the club and fries. My brother had the big mac and fries. We both really liked it. It is vegetarian, so you need to specific vegan cheese. The staff is super friendly and the prices were pretty reasonable. Great location!

Phenomenal Food with Friendly Staff - Edit
Today was my first time trying this place out! We were NOT disappointed. My mom got the Hulk smoothie which she said was one of the best smoothies she has ever had; its the "perfect green smoothie." I got the vegan pizza puff and vegan cookie shake and frankly this is among the best, (possibly the best) vegan junk food in Chicago. The pizza puff had the perfect balance of vegan sausage, seasonings, and textures. Even the seasoned FRIES were something to rave about. The shake was so good it was OUTRAGEOUS!
Read moreThe reason I give only 4 stars is because we did have to wait SO long (a little over an hour) for our food. Given the rush of summer and the pandemic, I understand, but it was a long while. That being said, the staff was so, SO nice, and to apologize for the wait they even gave us our drinks free (shake, smoothie and water). They were clearly working so hard and care about their customers.
Even with the long wait, the food, kind staff and cute atmosphere totally made up for it all! I cannot wait to come back!!!

The who betta burger, cookie monster shake, and strawberry shake are good. They're overpriced, but after the difficulties restaurants have endured during the pandemic I'm OK with paying a little more at small businesses.
Read moreI took off a star because the gumbo was underwhelming. The serving was very small for the price and didn't come with rice. My husband had to make rice and add some extra spices when we got home.
I took off a second star because it took 1.5 hrs to get our food when we were told it would take 15-20 minutes. The burger was done after an hour and then it took another 30 min to get the gumbo and shakes. This is too long for fast food and the burger and fries were cold by the time the order was ready.
Additionally it was uncomfortable stepping in several times to see if the rest of the order was ready because, at times, the restaurant was crowded and there were many people without masks/wearing masks below their nose. This included the person taking orders. It's a safety concern so I won't return anytime soon.
Pros: Good burger and shakes
Cons: Unacceptable wait time - 1.5 hrs, Gumbo is poor value, Wearing masks during a pandemic not enforced

Simply Amazing - Edit
The decor is so inviting and from the door I felt so welcomed!!!! The food was so good I came back twice in the same day and had to bring my mom! We had the vegan pizza puff and "who betta" vegan burger they were both amazing. I also had "the hulk" smoothie with the seamoss booster in it which gave me a great boost of energy... I love that I get the same Chicago greats with a plant based swag I'll definitely be back

1 However, I learned that the Hulk contains no added sugar or banana, so I ordered it with the Sloppy Joe. The Hulk wasn't watery and the natural sweetness didn't overpower. How could they make such a delicious drink?

Bad customer service with aggressive staff - Edit
BEWARE!!! I am a vegetarian, and I was looking for a restaurant like this, that cater to vegetarians & vegans. I ordered some food , and took One bite of it inside the restaurant. I spit it right out, because I did not like the taste of it. I wanted a refund, and the owner tells me there are no refunds. Huh? She then proceeded to ask me have I ever been to a restaurant, and got a refund for my food after taking a bite. I said yes I have, then a tall man jumps in my face and begins yelling. I’m like WOW! He was very aggressive, because I said I didn’t like it. The owner tells me that she has never heard anyone say they don’t like anything on her menu. So, my sister who was with me suggested for me to just call my bank instead of dealing with the yelling. Now the owner wants to give me a refund. The man who is the manager is continuously yelling, and highly aggressive, as if he was trying to scare me out of a refund. He kept trying to hand me and my sister the food, after I told him I didn’t like it, and didn’t want it. After I received my refund, the manager is staring at me like he wants to hit me. I will never go back to that place. Food is nasty, pricey, and they are ghetto. If there are no refunds, a sign should be posted. This should have been handled in a professional manner. Instead, I received immaturity served with a side of ghetto service! Don’t waste your time or money here, not worth it.

I had the taco salad. It was tasty and not too hot, which is often a problem for me. The greens were mostly kale and the pieces were too large for a salad. I gave them this feedback, so it may be better in the future. It is a tiny place with 2 small tables and 6 counter seats. Most of their business must be take out. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here, but it was fine. Be sure to specify vegan cheese.

Grabbed food on 4/17/19, the wait was about 20 minutes but worth the wait. We got the burger, nachos, and the tacos! Burger was amazing! If you’re gonna get the nachos to go (put the chips separate) and they were not vegan cheese on the nachos. I’m pretty sure the option for vegan cheese is there but just make sure to ask for what you want. Also, the tacos were amazing as well. Will definitely be back. Fab also helped us with our order, she’s amazing!

good lunch option in Hyde Park - Edit
I went for lunch the first week they were open. I had the burger and fries. The food was delicious. Also, everything on the menu can be made vegan! The negatives: the wait for the food was long. However, I'm hopeful this is just a function of them getting a new restaurant up and running smoothly. The food was also a little more expensive than I'd be willing to pay for an everyday lunch. But the food was really good. The burger was really tasty and the fries were seasoned fries. Assuming they can get the food production process a bit faster, then I'd definitely recommend this place!
