The Best Vegan Brekkie

Vegan options clearly marked. Breakfast, stack, sandwich, soup or mushrooms on toast. Vegan milkshakes. All for a good not for profit cause too. Not far from slab square.

Pros: Best breakfast, Great milkshake, Clearly marked vegan

Cons: Upcharge on "milk"

Nice place, good breakfast

Pleasant café located near the middle of Nottingham. Not a massive selection but the vegan breakfast I had (available until 3pm) was hearty and filling. A range of soft and hot drinks are available (no alcohol) and some desserts, one or two vegan.

Pros: Hearty breakfast

Great vegan options

So good I have been back a couple of times. Great sized portions and plenty of vegan options to choose from. Only complaint would be too few vegan options on the cake counter.

Great breakfast

Lovely vegan breakfast (see photo, the sausage is mixed veg rather than fake meat) , well prepared, hot and quick service. Mel our server was friendly, chatty and attentive, premises is clean with a good atmosphere. Menu offers soya and oat milks, vegan milkshakes, cakes, lots of vegan breakfast options and the soup is always GF and vegan.

Café Sobar is an innovative and vibrant alcohol-free cafe and venue in the city centre of Nottingham.
It acts as a safe social space for people in recovery and their families and friends, and provides work placements for them to gain confidence and employment skills.

Pros: Friendly service, Excellent breakfast

Lovely atmosphere

Really nice place to have lunch. Quite a few vegan options. We got soup and a VLT, both very good.

Great Vegan Fry

Title sums it up. The fry is definitely one of the better vegan frys I've tried. There were some other vegan options too, so you won't be limited to just the fry. They even do a vegan biscoff cupcake, but these were sold out when I was there :(

Good value vegan breakfast

Been a few times for breakfast with fellow vegans znd veggies. We all enjoy the breakfast options and have been back several times. Staff are great and it's a nice space to be.

Great prices as well

Pros: Tasty food, Nice interior , Friendly staff

Cons: Bit busy at weekends, can't always get a table , The vegan sausages are greasy vegetable ones

Nice place

Called today after hearing good things about this place. I had a coffee, falafel wrap & fries which came with a small taster of soup. Came to £10.45
It was ok. The place has a good atmosphere and I met some nice people.

Pros: Veggie options , Nice place, Very friendly staff

A little underwhelming

I’d heard great things about cafe sobar but was left underwhelmed after dining here. I had ordered the jackfruit panini but was first given a tuna panini which I obviously sent straight back. When the right meal came it was okay but nothing amazing. I asked if they had any vegan mayo and they got me the big tub from the kitchen but it seemed to have gone off.

However there are a lot of vegan options on the menu so hopefully they are tastier.

Pros: Lots of vegan options

Very nice

There were many vegan and vegetarian options, the staff was very friendly. I got a student discount, so that's a plus😉. You can have water for free (tap). Not too expensive

Overpriced bland vegan breakfast

For £7.95 you get 1 watery mushroom, deep fried flavourless tofu, chilli diced potatoes that again we're bland and lacking chilli and a dollop of unappetising wilted spinach. Side of toast came with butter.

Pros: Staff friendly. Coffee and orange juice was ok.

Cons: Expensive for what it is.

Sunny spacious cafe

Lovely warm and sunny cafe in an old banking hall, with plenty of space and friendly staff. Decent vegan menu of burgers, wraps, falafel and cooked vegan breakfast. Some options have veggie/vegan variations so always specify at the counter. Soya milk available for lattes etc. One vegan cake (they showed me the ingredients) but it isn’t labelled as such.

Pros: Good vegan menu, Lovely space, Friendly staff

Cons: Occasional mix ups so be careful
