Great choice of coffees and a fully vegan breakfast - Edit
Great variety of coffees (soy milk available) and teas to choose from. Further they offer a vegan breakfast - what a relief to be able to just order from the menu without having to exchange items :-)

Vegan breakfast menu - Edit
This coffee shop has a few vegan options. I tasted the vegan breakfast menu. It consisted of soy yoghurt with fruit, one lye bun , two round crackers, some cucumber and tomato. There was little bit Margarine and vegetable spread. The yoghurt muesli was good, but spread and margarine were definitely not enough as a toppings. Coffee and tea were good and tasty.

Coffee and breakfast - Edit
The new location in Düsseldorf Zoo offers a bit more space than in Flingern, but you can still sit indoors or outdoors. For coffee fans the private roastery with connection to the local farmers offers a large selection of coffee. In the back area of the cafe there is a large sales shelf (just get some advice from the owner) and also the roasting machine to be admired. The vegan offer and also basically the whole menu has not changed in the last years. There is the vegan pretzel stick covered with hummus and salad/tomato, soy yoghurt with fruit or muesli or the complete vegan breakfast "Vienna" with muesli with yoghurt and some fruit, a pretzel stick, three slices of crispbread, tomato and cucumber, margarine, jam and hummus. For the coffee they offer soy milk for 20 cent extra charge. The service varies, but the owner himself is always around and very nice and endeavoured. Breakfast at Café Nikan is good, but it doesn't cause a storm of enthusiasm. With regard to selection/composition/finess there is still room for improvement. Currently, there are only a handful of locations in town with a real vegan breakfast, which I hold for their good.

Very few vegan options - Edit
This place has precious few vegan options - and the options they do have are rather expensive compared to meat/cheese/milk alternatives. Basically they offer soy yogurt for breakfast three different ways - with muesli, with fruit, or with a piece of Knäckebrot and margarine. If you want fancy coffee, this is great but don’t come here hoping for vegan meal.
