nice but expensive - Edit
the average price for one ice cream scoop in düsseldorf is 1,57€ so "i am love" belongs to the more expensive ice cream parlours with prices from 1,80€ to 2,40€. they have 4 categories: basic -> special -> premium -> deluxe - with each higher step 20ct more to pay.
Read morevegan options include fruit and chocolate sorbet, coconut chocolate, hazelnut, likkers (snickers) or pistachio. they also have vegan coconut whipped cream (for the same price as the dairy one). unfortunately, all non-sorbets are in the higher categories so you pay 2€ or more which i find a bit too expensive.
staff is friendly but the store is not wheelchair accessible and there are no seating options at all which is pretty sad. would also be great if they introduced reusable cups.

To everyone complaining that it’s a “to go” place:
There is a big park (Zoopark) and a big playground just around the corner so just enjoy your delicious ice cream outside in nature :-)

Ice cream to go - Edit
I like the I am love cafe in Bochum. This place however, has only a counter for ice cream and coffee to go. They do not have waffles, soups or paninis and no seating. Half of the ice cream is vegan (the front row in the freezer), clearly marked ”vegan” and very delicious. It is nice to have quiet a big choice of vegan ice cream besides the usual sorbet ones and you can go to the little park on the other side of the street to enjoy it.
