Cafe 13 is a go to for a good vegan burrito the only issue is it rarely comes out vegan. More often than not it will have egg or cheese on it. They told me the cheese was vegan on one occasion then on another they said they do not have vegan cheese. Yikes!! So I ate cheese that I thought was vegan when indeed it was not. Good thing my dairy allergy isn’t going to kill me but they really gotta get their s*** together. They also do not have the root veggie scramble any more they offer 2 vegan options: a burrito and avo toast

Coffee is perfect. Sad the vegan pancakes are no longer on the menu, but vegan breakfast burrito is yummy. Great atmosphere for working or sharing a meal with friends, and town is cute, too.

Great breakfast burrito! - Edit
We stopped here for breakfast and had their vegan burrito. Their vegan sauce takes it to the next level. I snapped this picture before it was gobbled up. I think it will be my breakfast and lunch because of the size of the serving. Only bummer is that they charge extra for non-dairy milk for their coffee. On the other hand, their Columbia coffee is very good and probably doesn’t need anything.

When you first walk in there is a nice atmosphere. You see a menu with vegan options and get excited. When we went to order they did not have most ingredients and couldn’t make the vegan dishes. When we ordered vegan GF avocado toast the GF bread isn’t vegan. We ordered it with corn tortillas and it came with the toast anyway making it not 100% vegan. They had no coffee- empty containers in the middle of breakfast hour. No dairy vegan creamer options. This place needs some help.

Excellent and delicious vegan breakfast - Edit
In town for a conference and looked for vegan-friendly food in Golden. This place has three GOOD vegan options on their menu and had one vegan baked good today. I had avocado toast and the vegan hash (comes with tofu scramble), both of which were delicious!! I’d hoped for vegan waffles (based on prior reviews), but this was healthier and seriously so good!

They no longer have the vegan waffles. But the vegan breakfast burrito with green chili sauce is great!!! I added vegan sausage. And the vegan scones, avocado toast, muffins and coffee drinks are delish!! Highly recommend

Great spot for breakfast, coffee and tea with plant milks. Several vegan and vegetarian options available. Great service and awesome outdoor patio with great views and people watching. The vegan breakfast burrito is outstanding, and very large.

Cafe 13, Golden, Colorado - Edit
Today I dined at Cafe 13 after seeing it listed on Happycow as vegan friendly. The menu has 5 items listed as vegan. I opted for the breakfast burrito and was pleased with the generous portion and taste. All the vegan items are under $10. The restaurant seemed very clean and the young staff was friendly. I plan to return to sample the remaining vegan menu items.

Great cafe! Several non dairy milk options, a vegan section of the menu that includes a breakfast burrito/bowl, pancakes, toasts, and oatmeal! Even had some vegan pastries in the mix!! Perfect for groups of mixed eaters- meat and veg options were loved by all!
