Not too many choices for vegan celiacs in this neck of the woods. This one is a keeper! Reasonably priced and choices for everyone! Friendly staff... a real gem that I enjoyed!

A great addition to the town of Stony Plain! - Edit
They have a great variety of vegan dishes available. Even the naan bread can be made vegan! Prices are great. Food portions are very good and they make every dish on order, if you want mild, medium or spicy!

Vegan food in Stony Plain - Edit
A small town like Stony Plain has limited vegan options so my interest was piqued when I saw the words “vegan love” on a menu posted in the window of Butter Chicken Hut. Sadly, the menu was more vegetarian than vegan, with many items containing cheese. Still, we went inside to check them out. The restaurant appears to be family run and our server was knowledgeable about the ingredients of the dishes. We started with veggie samosas and our main meal was comprised of okra masala, eggplant Bharta, mushroom rice, and an order of naan bread (hold the butter). The portions weren’t huge, but were certainly sufficient for 2 people. The okra was chewier than when I’ve had the dish elsewhere, and the eggplant dish contained a large amount of tomato. Bottom line, however, we enjoyed the meal enough that we will definitely eat there again.

Cons: Some people might need to request less spice, Vegan menu isn’t entirely vegan
