I had the courgette spaghetti with tomatoes after telling the waiters I was vegan. There was also a vegetable soup and sorbet on the menu at the time.

Welcoming and nice small restaurant/shop in Bari - Edit
We only ran into Buò at the end of our stay in Bari, but the food was so good and the place so nice and welcoming that we directly went there two days in a row. The restaurant/shop is owned by a number of persons, who are happy to talk you through vegan options and possibilities - and, while the place is not exclusively vegan - there are a lot of delicious vegan options (ranging from anti-pasti to dishes and sweets) available. For eating you can sit inside and outside of the restaurants, the place is a mixture between a restaurant and an organic shop, and rather small, but we have really enjoyed our stay there and would have wished to find this great place earlier!

Unfortunately, our experience was a complete opposite to the previous review, staff didn't speak English and was not aware of what "vegan" or "plant-based" is. But there are cooked vegetables you can pick from, however they are prepared without any spices and lack flavor. But a cake stuffed with a cabbage saved our visit😄
