Small vegan restaurant inside Fañabe Plaza shopping centre since 2015. Traditional Italian dishes made vegan. Booking needed because the place is small with few tables. Under new management April 2024. Open Tue-Sun 13:00-15:30, 19:00-21:30. Closed Mon.

This little vegan resturant is a gem! - Edit
Wow, this became one on my favorite vegan places abroad! The menu is rich with options so me and my partner went here two days in a row. The food is delicious and feels both healthy and filling at the same time. The food was served beautifully and the staff was so nice and friendly. The price is good for what you get. Couldn’t even recommend this more! It was a bit hard to find, you need to enter the mall building on the top floor to find it.

High Level Vegan Food - Edit
We cycled to Buenavida from Las America’s - but it would be a nice morning walk too! The food was outstanding! I had a Tempeh dish that was delicious, the other in my party had the Raw Rap and Hotdog and they each had the same high level of attention to flavour and presentation. We’ve booked to come back again on Saturday Night!

Surprisingly good food - Edit
I enjoyed eating here whilst on holiday, I don't think it is as hard to find as people have said. It's on 1st floor of the mall at the back end, furthest from the beach. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because the restaurant became very busy and unfortunately the solo waitress (who was lovely) wasn't able to be as attentive as she was when there were fewer customers.

March 2018 - Edit
Highly recommend this 100% vegan place (once you find it), the food was lovely and the staff too. The menu wasn't huge but there was still a good choice. I also asked about ordering a sandwich for the airport and they said yes, however due to our pick up time it wasn't possible 😞.
Read moreOn our first visit we had a main course of burger and fries and hot dog and fries and both were really good and very tasty; the fries were delicious, wavy cut potatoes and cooked so they had a lovely crisp outside but soft inside mm mm mmm. I also had a beautiful vanilla ice cream which was so smooth and really 'creamy'. Second time we had coffee and cake (choice of 3 milks for coffee - rice, almond and soya) with one chocolate cake and one cheesecake, again, both were delicious and presented very prettily.
The only downside for us was that it took a few days to find; Google maps directed us to a cafe called Cinnamon and Vanilla (not vegan) and we thought Buenavista must have closed but it's actually above, inside the shopping precinct. So if you find yourself there, just look for an entrance to the shopping centre and go up the escalator and you'll see the tables and chairs outside. It was a little bit blustery/windy due to the layout of the centre but the food was well worth it.
Pros: 100% vegan Delicious food Lovely staff Takeaway po
Cons: Difficult to find (but maybe that was just us bein

Comida buena - Edit
La comida no estaba nada mal, si que es verdad que para el ramen la verdura me gusta crujiente y en este caso era más bien muy blanda y algo escasa. Aún así lo recomiendo y dejad hueco para el postre

my favourite! - Edit
I've travelled a lot and eaten in so many vegan places, Buenavida is one of the best! Especially if you like Italian cuisine, this is the place for you. It might take some time for the food to be prepared but its well worth the wait, and their cakes are just mind-blowing!

Okey, but a little disappointed... - Edit
I looked this place up while still home in Sweden .I saw the ratings and had quite high expectations.
Read moreLuckily I got to a hotel very near (neighbour building) and thought I would have a great stay here thanks to an all-vegan restaurant so close. But when I got there - during high season on Tenerife - it was closed. For two (or was it three?) days. !?
So the first day they were open again, I went from the beach earlier then I would have wanted because they were closing as early as 17:00, I arrived there at maybe 16:10 - then the staff told me they were already closed!!!??
There were some people sitting and waiting for their food, so I got so disappointed, I had been waiting several days to eat there.
I tried to negotiate and asked if I could take the food with me instead of sitting in the restaurant, and finally, they reluctantly agreed, but they said I had to wait for 40 min.
Two of the best(?) courses was not able to order any longer, so I got a burger and some fries, it was not the best I've had, the potato were good, but would of course been better if I could have eaten it right away instead of going back to my hotel.
I went there one more time, hoping to get there in time, and I did. I ordered a glass of wine and a starter and a maincourse. This time it was ok to order anything from the menu.
The starter was very nicely served, but it wasn't quite warm and was a quite small portion.
The maincourse, I had ravioli, was ok, but it was a very small portion (for 12 euros), not quite warm either and not so tasty as it could have been. It simply didn't taste that much.
I think the two waitresses could be a bit less stressed (and it would be nice if they could speak maybe a little more English, at least one of them, of course you could say I should know how to speak spanish fluently when in Spain, but I don't).
They could also be a bit more welcoming and serviceminded.
I think it was quite expensive for that small portions, but it was nicely/beautifully presented.
A very boring location inside a very empty mall.
Pros: All vegan food and drinks, Nicely presented
Cons: Not so good value, Small portions, Boring location

Amazing vegan food - Edit
The owner of this place is very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately due to their holiday this place was mostly shut during our holiday stay and the owner communicated with me via mail and recommended other vegan places for us to visit (places that were not on happy cow at the time - all rectified now!) We only managed to go 3 times during our stay and on all 3 occasions the food was really good. Definitely book a table before going, it is always busy! The lentil burger was my favourite along with the tortilla. Will definitely return.

A shame many don't see this restaurant as it is inside a not so popular mall... thank you HappyCow for always making it easy finding vegan options! Great choice of different dishes from all over the world, good food, good service, nice plates presentation,... definitely recommended if you are in Adeje!

Delicious, friendly, welcome - Edit
We travelled many miles just to have lunch at Buenavida Vegan and it was worth it. Perfect falafels, tasty houmous, excellent seitan, and the best chips we've had in ages. Vegan food without compromise, made by talented chefs. Friendly service too. It's popular, though, so expect a bit of a wait. In case googlemaps confuses you (as it did us) it's upstairs in a shopping centre tucked behind a row of shops.

Buenavida, Fañabé Plaza - Edit
Buenavida was 100% vegan and I could tell that it was a local hotspot because the restaurant was full of groups and empty reserved tables. That’s always good to see when you first get to a restaurant that you’ve never been to before. It was located in the corner of an empty shopping centre and we didn’t think we were in the right place until we heard lots of people chatting. That’s when we knew we’d found it! The food was presented rustically, and the water bottles even had the Buenavida logo on. I wanted to take one home! Buenavida’s menu changes from month-to-month and had a number of different starters, veggie burgers and salads on it when we visited.
Read moreWhat I ate: I ordered the quinoa and black bean burger with fries, and tried the toasted bread with north sea flavours starter. I wasn't too keen on the bread, it had some sort of paste, carrots and onions on it which isn’t what comes to mind when I think of ‘north sea flavours’!
