Vegan menu - Edit
I find Lounges to be a reliable chain for vegans. They have a vegan menu with decent choices. Had the vegan cauliflower bang bang which was tasty and filling. Great playlist tonight at the Cheadle branch too.

Lounge Lizard - Edit
Has a full vegan menu, which is good. Done as a quirky / trendy bar/cafe/restaurant. Is dog friendly too. Struck me as a more characterful chain.
Read moreI should have got the jackfruit burger but missed it on the specials menu. I got the cheese burger. Its the one kind of veggie burger i really do not like - rubbery soya mince with a very strong charcoaly taste. People who gave up meat more recently than me can advise if its texture is close to beef or pork but it did not agree with me. As it cost more than a tenner i tried my best anyway but i seldom struggle to eat anything.
Sides and fries were good though and came quick. Have to say the girls serving looked pretty glum and didnt offer me a glass of water or high chair for me kid.
Also north of £10 per course.
I'd say the other options are good and dont think youre getting a better veg offering in town but it hurt my tummy😒
Pros: Bright quirky, Vegan menu, Accessible and big
Cons: Solid price point, I dont like soya mince

Vegan menu and family friendly - Edit
Very much like it's cousin Baretto Lounge in Stockport. Brezo is the more intimate location. Still dog and family friendly. There's plenty of cheap parking nearby if you have to drive here. I would recommend sitting away from the entrance doors on a cold day as it can get quite breezy. Not just bar drinks but also oatmilk coffees too.

Cons: Cold breezes near the entrance doors, Can be noisy at busy times during the day

Great vegan options - Edit
Not from the area but popped in for lunch when visiting family. Great vegan choices (separate menu but out on the tables with the other menu - so no need to feel like “the awkward one”). I had the vegan Mexican bowl - really tasty! It’s a big place, loads of seating upstairs and downstairs, and well spaced tables so room for pushchairs, if needed. Great for kids. The children’s menu includes one vegan meal (falafel burger) which is nice to see as so many places don’t easily cater for planted based little ones. I wish this place was near where I live!!
