Nice atmosphere - Edit

We visited Brasserie Lola in Paris and were a little disappointed. The food we received was greasy vegan junk food, which is ok if that's what you're looking for.

The presentation of the food was not great and the chips were cold and greasy. I had the Croque Monsieur which I could not finish, it tasted odd.

Maybe we just ordered two dishes from the menu which weren't great, some others had food delivered which looked better.

This place did have friendly staff, nice interior and great atmosphere though.

Cons: Cigarette smoke coming through doors from outside

Awesome! - Edit

We’re here now and it’s great! It looks like a conventional restaurant when you actually arrive but the waiters confirmed it’s all vegan. We both ordered the burger (seitan) that came with fries and a salad. I also ordered a virgin pina colada because it’s happy hour and it tasted like the ones I was used to getting at non-vegan restaurants. We’re ordering dessert - rice pudding and choco cake with ice cream and whipped cream. Stop by here if you’re in Paris!!!! And book your hotel nearby if possible!

I brought my non-vegan friend here and it was a hit!! I got the pad thai which was delicious and worth the €14.5, while my friend got a pancake with chocolate drizzle, banana, and whipped cream. Service was great

Pros: delicious food, helpful staff

Cons: no English menu

Amazing vegan place - Edit

It was nice to be in a place which looks like any parisian brasserie, but is 100% vegan. The food was great and the service was amazing as well. We will come back to try the waffles!

Pros: great service, great food, great place

All vegan but food isn't great - Edit

All is vegan with is great but the menu is pretty basic (a soup, samosas, burger, bologna pasta etc...).
The food isn't great, the samosas fr example were quite greasy and they didn't taste very fresh like they had been fried more than once and was from the previous day (s???).
The fries were good though. The portions are not big and after having an appetizer and main course I had a soup elsewhere. I don't try it personally but apparently the cesar salad is good and the hot chocolate is as well.
Probably better as a café for drinks and pastries than for lunch or diner.

Pros: All vegan, Atmosphere

Cons: Food isn't necessarily fresh, Small portions

Tasty food, good portion sizes and friendly waitress - Edit

I'm visiting my grandparents in France and have been cooking vegan for them for the past week. They are very open to it luckily. They really wanted to take me and my mom out to dinner so we chose Lola since it has good reviews.

The place looks neat and you can't see any vegan advertising on the walls or anything. You can only figure it out when you see the menu's.
I was curious as to how many vegans came here so I asked the waitress (who was very helpful and kind). She estimated that 70% of the people there are vegan and the rest are friends and family or random people.

The food was tasty and we didn't have a complaint about it. It was quite simple but it tasted good. They don't use that many fake meat alternatives as you'd expect.

The juices were the best part to be honest. My mother had a carrot celery juice and I had a ginger apple kiwi. They tasted fresh and not overly sweet like a fruit juice.

The only complaint we had is that people smoke outside and it got directly inside the restaurant during the entire dinner. I don't mind as much as my mom and grandparents. They were not too happy about that and complained. So 4/5 stars.

Pros: many options, good portion sizes, friendly waitres

Cons: smoke got inside

Vegan Brasserie! - Edit

The brasserie experience is an essential part of a Paris visit, so it's great that Lola gives vegans an opportunity to partake.

I came for lunch and enjoyed sitting outside to watch passersby as I read and ate. I had the variety meal, which included a sandwich, soup, samosa, salad, fries, and dessert. All of it was really well executed and tasty. The sandwich was pressed and grilled to crispy perfection. The soup was hearty yet showcased a lot of lovely and subtle flavors. And the dessert was really rich and tasty without being overwhelming.

Overall, I really enjoyed my meal and Brasserie Lola, and I would definitely come back again for a leisurely meal outside.

Pros: Brasserie experience, Well done food, Nice service

Cons: A bit pricey, but maybe not in Paris terms

Super Brasserie - Edit

Uncomfortable in summer - Edit

I provided a very positive review some time ago but now I have a different opinion. This brasserie has increased its prices significantly with no improvement to anything. Service has slowed down a lot. Worse, it gets unbearably hot in the summer, hotter than outside. I complained in summer 2016 when with a group of ten people we took turns to go outside to cool off. This summer (2017) Lola's still does not have even a single fan, nothing. The staff are too hot aswell. I ate there in June and now July but I will NOT return.

Pros: Food ok, Nice interior

Cons: No respect for comfort

Brasserie Lola's Vegan game is strong - Edit

This place is amazing!! The coconut Thai soup tastes different but better than the state. I had to double check to make sure it is indeed vegan. I had burger to celebrate fourth July the 'Mercian way. The bun omg the bun, how can they bun be vegan and still taste soo good?! And the cheese? I rarely eat vegan cheese in the state but this cheese?! I really had to triple check this place just to make sure it's vegan. Five stars solid!!!

An absolute favorite! - Edit

A great restaurant that just so happens to be vegan (and a great one to take omni friends and family to)! We went here and the service was great (good English and very helpful) and the food was fairly priced, the portions were decent. Very family friendly and a great atmosphere! I'd definitely go here again if i come back to Paris.

Amazing Food Slightly Let Down - Edit

If I was reviewing based just on my main meal I would have given them five stars. The customer service was also great: the food came really quickly, the waitress went out of her way to explain to me and another English couple what everything meant, and there was a traditional and comfortable atmosphere. I had the risotto which was perhaps marginally overcooked but still delicious, which came with vegetables which appeared to be cooked in balsamic and aniseed. However for dessert I had the sorbet which was kind of grainy - just go to the Amorino down the road and pay the extra fifty cents would be my recommendation. Also I was there while their deliveries were arriving, including pre packaged pastries and pre prepared vegetables, so I probably wouldn't recommend going for breakfast there. The only other thing was that the bread I was given had clearly been cut some time before.
The novelty of finding a vegan restaurant with a huge range of options, and the fantastic main meal, was let down by all the things around the sides.

Pros: Great food, Great atmosphere , Amazing customer service

Cons: Bad sorbet , Questionable freshness
