Classic French brasserie - Edit

Loved the atmosphere - classic French brasserie style. Fun thing is that it's vegan but they basically keep that a secret - you can't tell from outside, in fact you can't really tell from the menu unless you peer really closely and wonder why the cheeseburger involves "seitan". I had said cheeseburger and chips, and it's good

the best vegan food everrrr - Edit

wauw, that kinda sums it up !! guess this was the best vegan food I ever had in a restaurant. My boyfriend and me shared a vegan burger and grilled veggie sandwich, both came with fresh homemade fries and a side salad. Bothe the dishes were full of flavor, and , what I do like, big portions ;-) , I do love my food haha. The service was very good and real friendly. Totally would recommend it to anyone. Cosy aswell . I'll def will go back there again.

Pros: amazing food, real friendly , quick service, nice vibe

Cons: a bit pricey but def worth it, cramped seating

An Inconspicuously Vegan Brasserie - Edit

I've visited Brasserie Lola many times already.

The brasserie feels more like a place where people from the neighborhood would go. With no vegan signs anywhere to avoid scaring people away. :)

The menu is not large; but there are plenty of choices for different tastes, such as kebab, pad thai, burgers and sandwiches. There are also "plates of the day" served from Monday to Friday.
All food is tasty; but my personal favorite is the lasagna ( too bad its not in their regular menu).

The ambience is enjoyable, different from what you get in other vegan places in Paris. The service is attentive, although when it gets packed it could be a bit slow.

It opens non-stop from the early morning, which is hard to find (for vegans) in the city. It's a great choice for a quick bite at any time of the day; or for a tea time (my favorite dessert is the "pain perdu").

Pros: very tasty food, opening times, good value

Cons: nada

Vegan Banana Split - Edit

I met up with a friend here for a slow drink and some people watching, but to my surprise I sat down, looked at the menu, and straight away ordered an American-style Banana Split. It looked and tasted just like the banana splits I used to sneak at the diner after hours during my first job as a teenager.

The banana split was delicious, if indulgent. I felt like I was 10 years old eating it and I'm not apologizing to anybody. Looking forward to my next trip to Paris. :)

Pros: Delicious vegan ice cream , would be good for chillin' with friends , food looked pretty good, I just didn't order any

Very nice restaurant - Edit

A really nice restaurant, I had a vegan cheese burger which was delicious, and my date had a croque monsieur, which she also enjoyed. Not too pricey, really cozy, all in all I had a great time.

Pros: Good food, Nice service, Cozy place

Cons: Location is a bit off

A nice and welcoming Brasserie ! - Edit

We arrived late in Paris at night my dog mate and me , because of the train, so what a shame i hadn't the occasion to take my time to look at the menu, we were just tired and our vegan comrads were waiting for us since hours .
The waitresses were very lovely and patient, and provided immediatly some water to my mate .
I choose a classical so : a big burger with french fries , and for the forst time in my vegan life, as a dessert, i could ordered a Cafe Gourmand , wich i especially appreciated in this typical adorable Parisian Brasserie .
I just recommand

Pros: excellent food , lovely staff, Dogmates welcome

Of it was even vegan, we was served quick and the waitress was very patient understanding what we wanted and what was in the dish. Will be returning :)

Cons: menus only in French however we soon figured it ou

Fantastic! - Edit

This was the highlight of my recent Parisian work trip. This felt like a really typical French experience that I could relax and enjoy without the usual challenges of trying to explain my dietary requirements via my stuttering French. While I don't smoke myself (and find it disgusting) , and this may put some readers off, I found it quite hilarious that an ashtray was plunked onto my table along with the menus as soon as I sat down outside - I just thought it spoke to cultural differences being at play because I could not see the same thing happening at an all-vegan restaurant in North America :-) Anyway, other diners were smoking on other tables but it was not close enough to affect me. I thoroughly enjoyed what I ordered (soup, croque monsieur and some kind of dessert that I am struggling to describe - bread pudding is the closest reference point I can come up with) and the sitting outside watching the city go by as I ate it and I will definitely go out of my way to return on any future visits to Paris.

Pros: Very French, Food tasty and presented well

very friendly staff! - Edit

Had a great meal here, highly recommend the risotto. The staff are incredibly accommodating and forgiving if you don't speak French! Great atmosphere if you want to experience an authentic brasserie but with all vegan food :)

Pros: staff speak perfect English , wide range of meals including dessert, great atmosphere in suburban area

Cons: quite expensive, no English menu

Fun place - Edit

This lively spot has the fun atmosphere of a Parisian Brasserie, but is entirely vegan. Because it's so lively, though, the service, though very friendly, is somewhat slow.

The food is basic but quite good. My husband and I enjoyed two meals there, and will return the next time we're in Paris.

Pros: Great vibe, Good food, Friendly staff

Cons: Slow service

A nice option in the neighborhood - Edit

Brasserie Lola went to a quiet place to a busy location on evenings. As the food is not advertised vegan, the idea was to imitate a typical brasserie... and that job was well done so far.
Food wise, the items of the menu can be irregular for many, so feel free to ask for a recommandation of your convenience, as some dishes can be heavy or too little for your appetite.
The service, every time I went, was good, and I am still looking forward their place to be opened on Sundays!

Pros: Bistro imitation, Menu is rich, Service is friendly

Cons: Crowded on some nights!, Could (Should?) be cheaper!, Shouldn't hide the word "Vegan", be proud guys!

Great Vegan French Restaurant! - Edit

The brasserie was only a 10 minute walk from our hotel on Garibaldi. My dad and I both ordered the cheeseburger with fries and salad (been missing home), and it was delicious! As long as you can speak a few basic French phrases (Bonjour/Bonsoir, "do you speak English," "I don't speak French," merci, pardon, "please") you'll be okay with the staff. Translating app would also be helpful with the menu. When you're finished eating, instead of waiting or asking for your check you go to the right side of the bar to pay. The food came pretty quick even though it was busy, and they have desserts as well, although I did not have any.

Pros: delicious, quick, casual

Cons: a little expensive

Charming, very tasty vegan French Brasserie - Edit

Congratulation to Brasserie Lola !
We are never disappointed. Charming and cozy restaurant. Typical french brasserie. Clean place. Nice waitress.
Very pleasant restaurant room. You can come with friends because it has a fun atmosphere. You can come in couple for an intimate dim light in the evening. Dress code relaxed or smart, all is possible !

For the food :
Honest portions. We are good eaters and we ate very well. Meals are always cooked in live. In Paris context, it's an excellent price for the quality. A lot of choice as starters, main dishes and deserts (especially vegan ice cream). Fair price, very tasty food. Fresh fruit juices, cocktails, organic wine.

Kebab: our favourite dish, the most gourmand. Vegan protein rolled in a hot pita bread with dressing. Served with french fries and salad. A comforting dish.
Creamy rice, vegetables wok : the most gourmet. Nice showing.
Pain perdu : gentle cake coated with fudge dressing and ice cream ball.
All ice cream are vegan and home made.
Banan split : always good. For hearty appetite.

Extended hours. Rare in Paris, open from 7:30 am to midnight.
Animals are welcome. Congratulations to Brasserie Lola !

Classic French, Actually Vegan - Edit

If you want a vegan version of the typical Parisien brasserie, then this is the place to visit. We were served by 2 different people - one of whom was incredibly friendly and helpful, the other seemed completely disinterested in serving us. It was busy and so the staff did have a lot of tables to work, but the food came quickly.

The menu had a range of options, plus good desserts.

Definitely recommended.

Pros: Variety on the menu

Excellent, wordless - Edit

One of the best vegans place I went in Europe.

They had excellent healthy food, and excellent junk food too.. This is remarkable.. Very generous portions and very-friendly personal.

if you're in paris, must go.

Pros: Excellent food, Excellent ambient, Normal price

Cons: Really, there are no cons in this place..

First Vegan experience in Paris! - Edit

We went quite early (3PM) to Brasserie Lola and was very impressed by the atmosphere and decor of the place. Typical French Brasserie but you would never know it was 100% vegan! Food was awesome, I had the Pad Thai which was delicious and my omni boyfriend had the hot dog and was very impressed by it! We ended it with a glorious chocolate cake with chocolate ice cream on top and whipped cream and that just finished us! We were so full by the time we left and very satisfied. Unfortunately the cheese was all out and I was disappointed because it was only 3 PM.

Only con was the service. It wasn't busy at all but there was only one person on the floor who seemed in a rush to do everything. Otherwise - awesome! We're coming here again. 4 Stars because of the service

Pros: 100% Vegan and good to take Omnis!, Great vibe, Great portions!

Cons: Service, No cheese

Great food+ ambience in the heart of Paris! - Edit

My mom and I (both vegans) went here during a trip to Paris and loved it! The pad Thai, cheeseburger, and banana split were all delicious. My only complaint is that we went about 8pm and the restaurant was packed, and there was only one waitress so our service was slow. I highly recommend this place, but go on the earlier hours of the night to beat the crowds! ❤️

Pros: DELICIOUS, Great location

Cons: Slow service

Lovely cafe in a great location , the menu is quite small but with good options and its all vegan . Would've been a 5 if the staff was friendlier .
Today i got thai soup and cheeseburger and both were delicious but will not come back again because of the staff.

Pros: location, choice, taste

Cons: staff

Bonne petite brasserie Rive Gauche - Edit

Cons: Prix

Totally Brasserie! - Edit

This was our first stop and we had a non-vegan friend with us who had lived in Paris. The place was absolutely buzzing/jumping with energy, talk and people. It was a proper brasserie with the requisite bustling energy of a weekend night. We arrived late for our reservation (MUST reserve!!), but the staff was so gracious and accommodating and they found us a place no problem.

The food is exactly what one would expect in a brasserie and it's all freshly prepared in house. We all loved our meals. And I've happily seen that they're going for their second location.

This is a must for any Paris food itinerary.

Pros: Buzzy, Delicious food, Proper French brasserie

Cons: None really!

Fantastic food, "normal", easy restaurant - Edit

Easy-going, friendly, "normal" neighborhood restaurant (no spititual or political involvement). Outside typical Paris coffee chairs & tables. A few garlic-free dishes. All extremely tasty & done by somebody who truly knows how to prepare meals. No fast food, all freshly prepared.

Pros: Very well cooked, easy going, "normal" staff, friendly

Vegan becomes NORMAL, finally - Edit

I loved this place, VERY MUCH, for one reason: it's FIRSTLY a brasserie, then a vegan restaurant... Nothing makes vegans feel different, because the place looks like a regular brasserie and the dishes are as rich and tasty as normal French dishes.. So you REALLY experience Paris! Everything is so French! Only one negative aspect: it's a little bit expensive. However, I was very happy to pay the bill

sadly I found this place on my last night in Paris, luckily we were able to return for breakfast! :-) my partner had the risotto which was sublime, how can risotto taste so flipping GOOD!? I ate the crostini, which had chargrilled vegetables with pesto and an olive tapenade. It came with fries and salad. I thought it was excellent. Desserts sounded amazing but I was too full to order one (E. g. flambé bananas). Service was a bit slow as they got busier.

Good Food - Edit

Found this restaurant on my Happy Cow app. All 3 of us loved the food and wonderful service. We do not speak much French and were happy the waiter spoke English. He was helpful and funny. Only one of us is plant based but all 3 enjoyed our meal. My 80 year old mom didn't believe it was vegan. So happy I used my app!

Pros: Good food, Wide variety, Excellent service

Cons: No wifi

amazing discovery - Edit

Thanks to this app we found Brasserie Lola while visiting Paris. The food was creative, the staff was super friendly and the ambiance oh so Parisian. The other customers were also very nice. We went back the second night and had the same pleasant experience. We each tried a different dish than we had the first night and loved it just as much. We were honored to meet chef Alain, a really nice man. Bravo!

My Favorite Vegan Restaurant - Edit

I simply love Lola Brasserie. I discovered it when I moved in the neighborhood. And it's amazing.

The restaurant looks like a 'regular' Parisian Brasserie, very cozy with a warm atmosphere, nice old wooden tables, a chess game somewhere, jazzy-trip-hop-classy music (not too loud!) and the owners are adorable.

The cocktails are delicious, they taste like candies or display seasonal flavors (watermeloon mojorito in summer !).

My favorite meal is the vegan cheese-burger ! It's so tasty, I frankly never ate a better burger. And the desserts. Ho you will not know what to choose ! The ice cream is home made, the french toasts are my favorites, I can't get enough of them.

The dishes on the menu are simple but so tasty. Don't expect something very sophisticated, after all, it's a Brasserie, but a very good one.

Awesome food - Edit

Possibly the best main dish I've ever had, which was a risotto with a bunch of veggies on the side. Perfect consistency and more flavor than any risotto I've ever had, despite the lack of butter. Great organic AOC wine as well. My sister's dish also amazing. Dessert could've been a little better.

Friendliest staff of any restaurant I've ever been, immediately felt like best friends and eager to talk. Chef great guy.

Pros: Food, Friendly staff, Wine

Cons: Dessert

A sense of normal - Edit

I went to Brasserie Lola last night. The first thing that struck me was that it was a normal Brasserie. The only thing different was the vegan menu. The food was nice, maybe not 100% healthy but I felt at ease with the atmosphere there. I would highly recommend a visit to this Parisian Brasserie!

Don't leave before tasting their chocolate cake! - Edit

Great vegan bistro. You can find some interesting replacement dishes here. We tried the Kebab, which was good, but the chocolate cake was amazing. You cannot miss it if you go to Paris.

The staff was incredibly accommodating. The coffee could have been a little better. All in all, a great place.

Pros: Chocolate cake, Staff, Interior

Cons: Coffee, Kebab a little bland

Vegan Brasserie style food - Edit

This place does standard French Brasserie style food, but vegan! Let's you try out what Parisians eat (very non-vegan!) while still being vegan. I had the Croque Monsieur, which I would never normally be able to eat. And a Pain Perdu pudding, which was amazing. Great place for a vegan to go to experience France as a vegan.

Typical brasserie, discretly but deliciously vegan - Edit

I really liked the very parisian "brasserie" atmosphere : from outside and still inside you cannot really tell that the restaurant is vegan (there is a very discrete mention on the menu). A lot of people come eat here, not knowing it is vegan at first, which I found great.
The food is quite good, although maybe a bit expensive, for example the price of burgers is at least 5 euros higher than in other vegeterian-vegan burgers places.

Pros: Brasserie atmosphere

Cons: Expensive

Veggies! - Edit

Usually when you order a vegan club sandwich it comes with layers of tofurkey slices, "cheese" and vegenaise. The one I had here was beautiful - nothing fake. Just grilled veggies like aubergine and courgette and capsicum. There was a nice avocado spread instead of mayo. The good isn't super fancy but it's fresh and tastes great. It was a big portion with salad and fries. The cafe is on a corner in a cute area near the Eiffel Tower. It's a great stop for a quiet lunch if you're in that area. And the staff were friendly and spoke good English.

boring food - Edit

I had high expectations for this busy brasserie. I was mostly disappointed.

Service was good, but food was bland and un-inventive. My appetizer was a vegetable tempura plate on a bed of salad greens- Nothing interesting here.

My croque Monsieur was a simple ham sandwich with whole wheat bread (kinda wonder bread) with some cheese on top.

My dessert sample was alright. I liked the raspberry tart and the bread pudding was ok, but very sweet. The sorbet was so sweet, I couldn't eat it. I am not coming back for the food...maybe happy hour?

Pros: service, location, ambiance

Cons: bland food

Very nice food, and lots of it! - Edit

I had the Samosas to start, followed by the Club Sandwich and Flambéed banana with vegan ice cream. It was very tasty, and service was good. I'll definitely return on my next visit to Paris!

Pros: 100% Vegan, Good food

Cons: Expensive

Delicious meal, and drink portions were massive! - Edit

Brasserie Lola was one of my favorite places while visiting Paris. I'm not sure what the reviewer below is speaking about, but I visited on 8/25/2015 and they were definitely open for business! The food was delicious and portions very large. We also had some cocktails and the drink sizes were huge! Just an FYI for any non-French speakers, the menu was only in French so bring a mini dictionary or translator if you need to. Since the Eiffel Tower is only a 10 minute walk from the restaurant, I highly recommend having dinner at Lola's and going there to see the sparkling lights, very romantic :)

Pros: Eiffel Tower, Cocktails

Great vegan restaurant - Edit

I was very happy to find this vegan restaurant within walking distance of our apartment near La Tour Eiffel. It is an eclectic menu. In our two visits, we tried samosas, pad Thai, veggie stir-fry, risotto, crostini, bread pudding, banana flambe, sorbet and ice cream. It was all delicious. Our servers were all very friendly and helped us as best they could with the French-only menu.

Nice vegan spot in the 15th arrondissement - Edit

The Brasserie Lola has opened last year, and is one of the very few (if not non-existent) vegan options in this part of Paris (the whole West/South side of the city is desperately in need of veggie places).
So I went there with great expectatives, and I wasn't disappointed. The neighbourhood is a little posh, but the prices aren't too bad: there is a nice lunch set around 17€. Otherwise, one basic course will be around 15-17€.
It's not cheap, but it's ok.
There is a lot of choice of seitan burgers, sandwiches, and mostly fusion food. The quality is not incredible, but it's a little above average. The fries were a little greasy. It didn't always convey a "home made feeling".
One the plus side, the quantity was quite above the average.
The main pro being the atmosphere: the place is (unusually for a veggie venue) nicely decorated like a chic brasserie. It's bright, well-located, and big enough to be able to cater a lot of people, but without losing its charm.
On contrary to what some people said in other comments, the service (2 different girls) was great when I was there, so I guess bad service is not a pattern there.
So my final note would be somewhere between 3 and 4. I put 4 because I was quite happy with this first experience. But I'll probably adjust it when coming back for a second opinion.

vegan place for group meeting in Paris - Edit

It's a typical parisian brasserie and it's not written but everything in there is vegan.

I had a farewell vegan dinner in Brasserie Lola. We were 4O people, they couldn't serve every table at the same time, which I totally understand, and some table finished when some just started but we had good times.
I found it pricey according to me, but definitely a good place to try

Pros: if you like parisian architecture

Cons: a little pricey for me

very nice Paris Bistrot - Edit

We took lunch there before going on walking to the Musée Guimet (which we liked very much, too). We sat in the shadow in front of the restaurant(during the summer heat of July) and enjoyed our little menu with a fresh couscous-salade and some light wine. Exactly what you want to have on a hot summer day. It is situated on the corner of two streets, there are cars driving by, but all the same it is not very noisy or smelly, but you feel like in any typical little "Paris bistrot".
We recommend it!

Pros: Good food on a hot summer day, Friendly staff, Feels typically "Paris"

Un très bon restaurant - Edit

We have dined here twice this week and love the location, very close to metro station Avenue Emile Zola. The decor and ambiance, abundant light, cream colored tables and chairs, board games of chess or backgammon on a few tables, very relaxed and fun outlook. The resto sits on a mildly busy street corner. The staff greets you with warmth and smiles. The menu is written on a black board outside and the waiter brings the whole board on your table for you to make your choice. The first night we had a vegetable soup, delicious with just the right creaminess and seasonning, my husband opted for the "hotdog hollandais" and fries, which was disappointing as he was expecting a French-like kind of dog, a big "sausage" in a baguette with Dijon but got a very ordinary (for us Canadians) soft bun with a thin veggie sausage and red cabbage slaw in it. The fries though are an absolute must, home made, golden and crispy, don't miss them if you like fries. I had the special du jour, a half red pepper stuffed with quinoa and covered with tomato sauce, accompanied by a green salad. This was tasty but too small a portion. We were both still wanting more so we ordered dessert. I had the Café Lola gourmand", a coffee with samples of two desserts, the "pain perdu caramélisé" and the chocolate cake; neither was outstanding, the chocolate cake was dry and the pain perdu was so-so, only the caramelized walnuts and dollop of whipped cream on top were really good. My husband had ice cream, strawberry and banana, which he really liked. We decided to go back with a French omnivorous friend as we liked the staff and decor so much, and as it was the best vegan restaurant we had gone to so far (including Saveurs Veget'Halles, Bio d'Adam et Ève, Loving Hut) and this time we were not disappointed; everything was delicious and in the right amount. Between the three of us we had the risotto et ses légumes fumés, the thaï soup, the beignets de légumes, and the croque-monsieur with fries, and everyone was raving about his food. My friend was so impressed that he asked for the restaurant business card. Long life to Lola!

Pros: Kind and patient staff, Relaxed ambiance and decor, Good food

Cons: Some portions are small?

Good food in a typical brasserie - Edit

If you're going to see the Eiffel Tower, it's worth a pleasant 10 minute walk to this typically French brasserie nearby. I liked that it didn't have the word "vegan" everywhere - meat-eaters could just wander in and be fooled! The service was really friendly, and the staff spoke English as well as French. We ordered a croque monsieur and a club sandwich, and they were both tasty. They were served with chips and salad. For dessert we had the "gourmande" plate, which featured 2 small pieces of the desserts from the menu, some cream, ice cream and coffee (or tea, if you prefer). Absolutely delicious! Overall it wasn't the best place we visited in Paris, but it was a nice spot.

Pros: Near Eiffel Tower, Good food, Friendly service

Cons: A bit expensive

A nice food stop - Edit

I was just knocking about the area and needed some lunch so I came here. Food was nice and simple but nothing to be overly excited about and a little overpriced. 30 euro's for a soup, a burger & chips, and an orange juice, hmmm! Staff were friendly and it was a good enough spot to watch the world go by.

Pros: Nice simple food

Cons: Expensive

better than the tour eiffel! - Edit

i was in the vicinity of the tour eiffel in the 7th arrondissement, as i was searching for the art nouveau masterpiece which is the building at 29 avenue rapp. i'd heard about brasserie lola & knew that it would be a quick (brisk, as it happens, given the clear & cold day that it was) 20 minute walk from lavirotte. as i'd always wanted to experience a proper french brasserie, i rushed myself over.

when i arrived, nose running & fingers frozen, i was greeted by friendly faces. the waitress, who was fluent in both french & english, was happy to converse in either. she made me a pot of ginger tea & showed me the menu board (available in english or french). the array of options was dazzling! though i had initially been drawn to the spicy pad thai, i settled on a club sandwich. i'd never eaten a vegan version, so was fairly excited (safe to say). this one was perfectly toasted with layers of soft, seasoned, roasted veg that melted in my mouth. the crisp, hand cut chips were divine. i didn't have room for pud, so opted for a cappuccino in order to gird me loins for the return journey. it hit the spot!
when i left, everyone wished me well. i just wish that i'd been able to go back a few times more! it'd take a month to get round the menu. besides, the staff were very welcoming & it's clear that they love what they do. well, who can blame them?
go there! no excuses. :)

Pros: real brasserie experience, vegan style!, warm & friendly staff., massive menu!

Cons: price...but only marginally so.

Wonderful food and wonderful place - Edit

finally went to try Brasserie Lola yesterday night with my friends.
First of all, there was 8 of us, and I was the only vegan BUT everyone really did love their food! Almost all of them got the cheeseburgers and loved it (for trying a bite of it, I can also say it was really nice).
I had a creamy risotto with veggies and it was delicious ! always loved risotto but this one was really beyond the other risotto I tried before!
Being vegan means I'm not used to have desert options, so of course I HAD to try deserts. We share with one of my friend so I tried the chocolate cake and peanuts ice cream, both were just pieces of heaven!!! can't describe how much I've loved it.
Also the wine was good, and the coktail for the aperitif (happy hour til 9pm so 5,50 for a coktail is nice) was refreshing, good and stylish.

I might had that I have also loved the people working there and the atmosphere. We had a big wooden table, but I also definitely think it'd be a good place to have dinner as a couple for example.

Can't wait to go back !

Pros: FOOD!, atmosphere, staff

Cons: might be slightly pricy but worth it!!!

Wonderful! - Edit

Brasserie Lola is a fantastic spot for a good vegan meal. It looks just like a normal brasserie inside and out, and nothing is labeled as vegan, but rest assured, it is 100% vegan. Charming and inviting decor, friendly staff, and awesome food. So nice to finally have a quality vegan place in Paris with continuous service all day!
Updated from previous review on Tuesday January 06, 2015

Update: we ended up visiting three times on our 9 day trip to Paris, and it was by far the best dining we had anywhere on the trip. Seriously, you owe it to yourself to experience the wonderful food and charming atmosphere of this lovely brasserie. Only a 4 minute walk from Commerce station on the 8 line or a 1 minute walk from Avenue Emile Zola station on the 10 line. Visit Lola and enjoy!

Pros: great food, open all day till midnight, nice staff

WOW! Parisien Treasure!!! - Edit

Everything was excellent. The venue, the decor, the ambience, the service. My friend's daughter ordered the samosas. Well I tasted them and had to order...I never order samosas, (a Vegan of almost 30 years I have eaten enough samosas & Falafel to last 3 lifetimes, as soon as you say you are veggie, these are the first two things people offer you (after salad or grilled veg!!!)) but the filling was just amazing! I then had my first ever Croque Monsier! Yummy! Those chips/ pomme frites??? homemade and tasty! I couldn't fit dessert. I will next time... Be back soon!

Pros: Deliciousness, Excellent Service, Ambience

Paris's new vegan gem! - Edit

Where should I start? This place was just great from start to finish.

Being a "brasserie" I expected normal food, nothing fancy, and this is some of the best vegan food I've had in a while. I got the mixed plate which had a bowl of nice thick soup (that reminded me of my mother's actually), a very tasty and clearly non-industrial samosa, and a risotto which was the best risotto I've had in years (including when I was an omni). Also included was a small dessert of French toast (pain perdu) which was moist, sweet but not horribly sugary and with a nice consistency (not doughy or dry). All this was 22€ which I think is a good deal and the portions weren't too small, although I would have liked to know that I didn't have a choice of dessert before ordering.
I also had a purple cosmopolitan which had a nice flavour.

My friend who is allergic to gluten had a salad and a Pad Thaï along with a chocolate cake with whipped cream, which were equally lovely; although I would say 9€ is a bit steep for a spinach salad but those are probably normal prices in Paris.

I really loved the diversity on the menu which has soups, lasagna, burger, a bagel, the risotto, Pad Thaï (some things are on rotation). The starters and desserts are equally diverse and they have homemade ice cream. Everything is clearly made on the spot by an attentive chef. I really have to give an A+ to the food.

The setting is also lovely, with a pretty big seating area, candles on the table, floor-to-ceiling windows all around, and excellent music which is at just the right volume. They've done a great job of blending the casual friendly atmosphere of a Brasserie with the coziness and character of a more upscale restaurant. It's a good place for any occasion, date, dinner with friends, or business lunch. My only dislike was that it smelled like cigarette when we got there due to the smoking customers outside and the doors being open; but the smell dissipated quickly.

The staff were really lovely and patient with us. They are located in a nice area with a metro just a few metres away. Being open until midnight is also fantastic as there are very limited options for hungry vegans in Paris past 10:30pm.

All in all, this might become one of my new favourite vegan haunts and we left contemplating what we'll order next time we come, which will be soon!

Pros: Fantastic and diverse food, Great atmosphere, Open late!

Cons: Only 1 dessert option with mixed plate

Great meal in Paris - Edit

We were looking for a good whole foods plant based meal in Paris on a Monday night. Unfortunately, many of the Happy Cow vegan listings were closed on Monday evenings. We found Brasserie Lola to be open and made the easy metro trek, and we are glad we did. Had a very yummy meal of spaghetti Bolognese and Pad Thai, and both were excellent. The service was also excellent and we heartilly recommend this restaurant!

A real vegan Brasserie - Edit

From the outside it looks like a regal French brasserie. Its located at a crossing with the typical outdoor seating. There are almost no hints that it is a vegan restaurant - to our surprise, but we asked. The staff is friendly and speaks English. The restaurant has all the features of a good Parisian brasserie.

The food tastes great, it is mostly French/European with some Asian influences. The portions are not very large and a little pricey, but it's Paris and the usual level. If you are really hungry take a starter and a desert.

Pros: nice place, tasty food

Cons: small portions

nice place - Edit

This brasserie is a friendly place with a very nice interior and some outside seating and easily found near métro Zola. The menu proposed is good, fairly typical for a brasserie but all vegan and with some more unusual options. Produce used was fresh and good quality wehn I had lunch there.

Pros: good food, nice interrior, very friendly

Cons: Un peu cher

Vegan French brasserie! - Edit

This kind of place was really lacking in Paris! Now we have it! This place is a typical French brasserie, at the exception that everything is vegan! And homemade (which is not always the case in brasseries). The place is really pleasant, you have room, the staff is friendly and you can come in to drink or eat, or both. They have hot drinks, beers, wines, cocktails, vegan appetizers and offer a 100% vegan and homemade menu with tartines, burgers, risotto, pad thai, club sandwich, spaghettis bolognese, vegetable fritters, soups, salads, etc. They also have 6 or 7 vegan desserts, including homemade vegan ice creams.

The waiting is sometimes a bit long and every dish is not always still available, but it attests the fresh and daily preparation of the food. The food is really good, fresh and well presented. I tried the vegetable fritters as a starter (yummy!), the risotto as a main dish (creamy!) and the café gourmand as a dessert (great!). However, I found that portions were a little bit small so that if you are very hungry, you will need to take more than one main dish. Prices are a bit high, but consistent with Paris lifestyle.

Great to see and visit a typical place like that in the vegan mood.

Pros: 100% vegan brasserie, homemade food, cocktails, nice place, friendly staff

Cons: small portions, a little pricey
