Bodhi is one of Munich's best vegan restaurants and it's definitely the place to go if you want to enjoy really delicious, perfectly garnished, traditional Bavarian dishes that are nicely veganized. I came here with a friend, we had the Bodhi Pfandl, soy steaks with a crust, blaukraut and a strong dark beer sauce with potato dumpling (Knödel) and roulade with brussel sprouts (Rouladen mit Rosenkohl). Both was so so delicious. The starters (cauliflower wings) and "cheese" balls were a delight, as well as the desert, warm apple pie with cream.

Gemütliches, kleines Restaurant mit einer für veganes Essen relativ breit gefächerten Auswahl, von typisch deutschen Gerichten bis zu Burgern findet hier jeder etwas gutes zu essen. Wir hatten die Keesspatzen und das Bodhi Pfanderl, beides hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir haben das Essen auch sehr flott nach der Bestellung bekommen.

Great food, generous portions. I can particularly recommend the germknödel - I haven't had custard since going vegan, and their vegan custard is to die for. Don't know if it's expensive for Munich as I've not paid to eat here before, but it seemed reasonable to me. Ignore the "cash only" details in the listing, they do take card. Worth phoning ahead to reserve a table. My colleague and I almost didn't get in because we didn't have a reservation. I found the staff to be very friendly/helpful.

Good food, friendly staff. Very popular, so don't forget to make a reservation. I visited the place on a weekday (alone), but had to sit at the bar, because the tables were already reserved.

Everything looked delicious at this restaurant! Everything is a vegan version of traditional Bavarian food and so so good. The chocolate mousse was the best vegan mousse I’ve ever had! We also had the Chili “Cheeeze“ Nuggets, Bodhi Pfanderl, the Beyond burger and sweet potato fries. A definite must when you’re in Munich.

Went here with my parents (not vegan) to have them try some plant based alternatives. We had the seitan schnitzel, the beyond sausage and the bavarian crispy steak. We also had Kaiserschmarrn (huge!) and chocolate mousse. Everything was delicious and my parents were impressed! I will definetely come back to try their Beyond Burger.

It’s a lovely restaurant with vegan versions of typical German food. I’ve been vegan for 3 years and I tried a lot of vegan meals and restaurants. With this restaurant I have mixed feelings. I’ve been there twice so far. The Lupinen Geschnetzeltes and Serviettenknödel were great! The first time the staff was nice.
Read moreThe Wiener Schnitzel on the second day we went there was not my thing at all. They also serve a sundae with mixed Ben and Jerry‘s ice creams. Unfortunately the chocolate one was gone, but they didn’t tell me. So I got 3 rather small balls of the other flavors. Also the other desserts (just apple cake) didn’t come until we ordered the bill. That time the girls didn’t really get our complaints.

Cons: some veganized meals are not as good, staff not always understanding

Read moreIt seems to get pretty busy in the evenings (esp. in the summer) - we had to wait quite a while for our food. Keep that in mind if you’re very hungry and don’t feel like waiting for so long ;)

Would give 1 star if I could. Travelled to get food here after 10pm as the website states it’s open until 12am. Arrived at 10:10pm to be told the kitchen is closed. Ridiculous.

An absolutely awesome little place to eat and have a drink that was easy to find. Menu was great and so much good stuff to choose from. Great music and atmosphere. Staff really friendly and attentive. I'd highly recommend to anyone, go check it out!
