Quiet and Cute - Edit
We visited the bistro for a late lunch and got the watermelon cevachi and avocado toast with fresh orange juice. The cevachi was excellent, the toast had an interesting mix of tastes. The selection is small, even less so for vegans and suits this little bistro, tucked away from busier areas. Definitely pricy with a friendly atmosphere

Waren nun schon zweiten Mal hier im Boca Bistro. Die Speisen sind überwiegend vegan. Das Essen ist von sehr guter Qualität. Es ist eine kleine Karte, die oft wechselt. Gute Weinauswahl. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Reservierung wird empfohlen!!

Best vegan dinner in Lisbon - Edit
We had an authentic and delicious tapas night with our family. The food is creative and so yummy. Also the wines couldn’t be better. It’s not cheap, but worth every penny.

Good tapas and great vibe - Edit
Highly recommended. Great location in quiet backwater. Lovely interior, fabulous playlist the evening we visited and very friendly and easy going chef and server. We had courgette “rolls” filled with almond ricotta and “caviar” (excellent), padron peppers, oyster mushrooms on toast with lots of garlic 😀 and mushroom fritters with fennel slaw - these were tasty although perhaps a little heavy on the batter. Fennel slaw delicious and refreshing. Chef can adapt all options except for 1 (burrata) to be vegan. Excellent service. Would visit again - love independent, authentic and unique places like this. Small, limited seating so book if you want to secure.

Comfort food at its best - Edit
Little restaurant with a nice atmosphere, cool interior with the plants. The owner recommended a burrata dish with figs and caramelised nuts and a toast with wild mushrooms sautéed with garlic. I’m vegetarian but there were vegan options too. It was comforting and tasty. Also drank a nice biodynamic red wine with it.

Loved it! - Edit
Bar Boca was recommended to us and we were not disappointed. The dishes are great for sharing and smallish so we literally ordered the entire menu. Tried it all found it delicious and creative. My wife has high expectations and she too was impressed!

Lovely place 💓 - Edit
I couldn't taste the food but I tried wine. The place is small but beautiful, and the person who knows about wine and attended was so nice. In the whole of my visit I listened to Colombian and latin music 🥹💓

The staff was super nice. Food was tasty but everything was fridge cold and we were given old, cold toasted bread, also fridge cold.

Breathtaking - Edit
Everything was perfect from start to finish. The leading waitress is absolute perfection and knows her craft. She has so much passion for natural wines and recommended us an absolutely perfect choice for our food choices. The food is mainly tapas size and we ordered 4 dishes. Absolutely delicious and so flavorful. We were highly satisfied. Defo a reservation is necessary cause it's a tiny place and always sold out.

We live in Lisbon and have gone here a few times. The food is outstanding - super creative and delicious! It's such an adorable restaurant and perfect for friend gatherings or special dates. The menu is seasonal which is really cool because they support local organic agriculture.

Very good food - Edit
I've shared pretty much the all menu with 3 friends, everything was super tasty, I was the only vegan and my friends that usually eat meat were happily surprised by all the flavours and the resemblance of the cheese for instance. Definitely a place to try with your non-vegan friends/family!

Best vegan restaurant in Lisbon - Edit
Bar Boca is the best vegan restaurant I've found in Lisbon, where competition is fierce, and I say this as someone who spent two weeks as a walking stomach eating at dozens of Lisbon's vegan restaurants. A cozy, intimate atmosphere that invites conviviality which is wonderfully supported by the work of Ugne (somm) and Alfonso (chef). I went there three different times and sampled the entire menu and was unceasingly blown away. As the Portuguese say "estive feliz como pinto no lixo".
Read moreThe biodynamic wine selection is expertly curated by Ugne, whose passion for wine shines naturally and when combined with her personable and vivacious demeanor reinforces the ambiance of Bar Boca. The wine selection is varied, from classic dry reds to darker smoky or more fruitful berry blends that finish sweeter, and a panoply of white wines. The selection includes Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, French, Georgian and wines from a variety of other places. I normally don't enjoy whites but Ugne showed me a complex Georgian white which tasted like stone fruits, had a mild acidity, and finished dryer than expected. If you tell her what you enjoy she'll find something for you, if you trust her to guide you then you'll be rewarded with immaculate recommendations.
Alfonso is no chef, he's a magician. The menu is seasonal and provides options for anyone. All of it is presented flawlessly. The brioche fried oyster mushroom with caviar and hollandaise sauce is sublime, and as Alfonso tells it a fun combination inspired by the meeting of the bourgeoisie caviar and salt-of-the-earth fried oyster imitating fried chicken. The courgette milanese with almond ricotta and grapes seemed a weird medley, but the almond ricotta was delectable and when you taste the ensemble you instantly realize wine and cheese is a classic pairing and the grapes-as-wine precursor means this dish was really a creative deconstruction of old friends. I recommend trying the melon, chicharrones, hazelnuts and pickled onion over the olive oil base. The holy quaternary of salt, fat, acid, heat gets a slight revision with sweet substituting for heat and it plays together delightfully. I could go on -- I had the entire menu -- you truly can't go wrong.
Pros: 100% vegan, Phenomenal wine list, Incredible staff and ambiance

Okay - Edit
The restaurant was lovely and staff were very friendly but the food we had was not great and a bit overpriced. They had some unique and unconventional options but we didn’t love any of them. Personally I would not go back.
