The food here was so good! I ordered a pho & lemongrass tofu. Both were huge but they happily packed up the extras to go. All the guys that work there were really friendly and it was cheap. Definitely worth a trip!!! Plus it’s right beside the market. Around dinner time all the food vendors come out and it’s fun to see.

Staff served 3 locals who didn't know how to queue before getting round to me. No English menu so I basically had to point and guess. Turned out to be cheap and tasty.

Fantastic place with yummy food and friendly service. Amazingly good value. There are various things to choose from at the front, but you can also order from a menu where you have other choices such as soup and salads. A great place and we'll certainly be back; nice breathing space from the chaos in the centre of town.

The food is delicious and super cheap. 5,000 for a spring roll and they were the best I've ever had. The Com Chay with rice is only 17,000 for a generous portion. Very satisfying.

Nha Trang's Best Attraction - Edit
The saddest thing about leaving Nha Trang was having to leave Bo De behind. If you can navigate the language barrier, huge noodle soups and 'com chay' (rice with a selection of dishes from the buffet) cost 17K each. There's also an extensive a'la carte menu, with dishes starting from 30K, which we never got a chance to explore because everything else was too yummy.

Good quality, fairly fresh, decent mock meat ("chicken" made from oyster mushrooms!) and a big menu. Either by accident or design the cheaper rice dishes, and all of the noodle dishes, are left out of the English menu, but there was no problem when we ordered them from the Vietnamese menu.

I tried the bitter melon soup and I think this is a real winner. The goya is definitely not too bitter and very healthy. The portion is sufficient. The soup is sold for 35,000 VND. I also recommend the vegetarian hamburger. The burger was only 15,000 VND

We had a good dinner here. When we first sat down it took some time to be served, only because the staff were trying to locate the one English speaking person in the restaurant! Once he came to our table he talked us through the menu (it is in Vietnamese only) and we ordered dumplings, fresh rice paper rolls, a noodle soup and a rice pancake - banh xeo. The soup was delicious (one of the best I've had in Vietnam) topped with herbs, crunchy spring rolls, and green mango salad, the fresh rice paper rolls were really good too! Dumpling was tasty but been siting all day, and the bahn xeo was good but pretty oily. But after a long evening trying to find some good vegetarian food we were very happy.

This place is okay. The rice plate and buns are probably the best option. I really liked the steamed buns, but not so much the sticky rice squares steamed in leaves as the filling was a bit too sweet.
Read moreI ordered the chili and lemon grass tofu. The sauce lacked flavor. Also vegans be aware that anything in a batter probably has eggs. My tofu was definitely cooked in an egg batter. Springs rolls were mediocre.
My friend ordered the beef steak rice. The fake meat really tastes like beef so I didn't like it at all, but if you like beef you might like it.

The place is quite popular among the tourists in general, not only vegetarians, due to its democratic prices and the fact that it's located near Xom Moi market, close to tourist district. As it turned out, some tourists don't even fully understand what they order, and imagine omelet and "unsalted fish" among the variety of soy dishes. :)
Read moreThe food is rather tasty but it's the typical Vietnamese fast-food so don't expect much diversity. I would recommend you to try "bánh canh". Here it's made from the thick wheat noodles and served with the delicious fried tofu - quite original. By the way, Bồ Đề is a typical "chay" (vegetarian) place, and you can't say that it's fully vegan. At least, if you want you can easily order cow milk as a drink. As for the other dishes, it's most likely that they are vegan, but nobody will guarantee you that, because it's unlikely that the concept of "veganism" is familiar to Vietnamese buddhists.
Bồ Đề is the dirtiest place among all the vegetarian places in Nha Trang, probably because of its large size. This is the main drawback. It isn't extraordinary event really to see a cockroach running along the wall or on your table. And if you're kind of squeamish person and you're afraid of the mere thought of finding a little bug or a black hair in your dish, you should never go to Cơm Chay Bồ Đề. :)

Visited Bo De a couple of times whilst I was in Nha Trang and it was great both times. I tried the Pho which you can either order from the menu, off of the board behind the counter or at the second table where you'll see pho ingredients laid out. There's also a canteen style area where you can choose rice with mock meats, veggies etc. I tried the steamed buns too which were filled with crisp veggies which I loved. I also loved that this place was packed out with locals no matter what time of day it was, it's clearly really popular which is no surprise as the food's tasty and it's ridiculously cheap.

A Bit Confusing, but Not Terrible - Edit
The food was far from fresh and didn't really taste special at all. There is no real practical means of ordering unless you speak Vietnamese, so I just pointed at things and hoped for the best. The locals appeared to be getting totally different options, but I guess that's just my own problem for not speaking the language. Anyway, what I did get was passable and pretty cheap, so it wasn't a loss.

I would like to recommend this place especially to solo budget travellers. Very good taste, wide range choice, very very cheap. One plate rice + everything you want on it is 12k vnd. Cmon that's dirty cheap:) Food was very well spiced and I didn't need to add anything to my meal. I got a soup too. I ate lunch and took out as well. You basically just point on different food that you like to have on your rice. Nice staff. No english though. Good selection of mock meat and cooked vegetable. Which is anyway more safe to eat than raw vegetable in SE Asia.
