Change in type of service

Blue Moon has transitioned to Grab & Go, no longer a sit down restaurant though you can eat your selections at one of the inside tables. Still great veg food options though more limited than when it was a full serve restaurant.

Wonderful Vegan and Gluten-free Meal

Our meal was over-the-top delicious and service was excellent. We had the chopped cabbage and kale cashew caesar salad (minus the pecorino), the General Tso's Cauliflower and the night's special vegetable risotto (minus the pecorino); all were outstanding. The bonus was the gluten-free (vegan) Abigail's bread and oil. Hands-down the best vegan meal I've had. Service was friendly and attentive, but not intrusive.

Pros: Outstanding food, Outstanding service, Nice ambiance

Cons: A little pricey

Local, organic

Limited veg options, but there's always something. Fresh, local, organic ingredients and a chill atmosphere.

Special Occasions and Celebrations... or just a Wednesday Night

After two years as a student at Phillips Exeter Academy, Blue Moon was a staple for when my parents came to town! Their selection of farm to table greens and raw vegan desserts never disappointed. The staff have a way of making you feel very special and make it a team effort to take care of you. I miss the days of their incredible salad bar!

Pros: Dinner Specials, Variety, Vegan Dessert

Cons: Expensive

Excellent vegan options

Sunflower seed sushi app, vegan tofu skillet entree and two vegan dessert options. Great! Pricey but worth the splurge.

Very Expensive. Few Vegan Options.

This place was recommended to me by an omnivore. I guess because they use the words organic and farm and fresh all over the menu that means they are good for vegans? It's really one of those "happy meat" kind of places. They serve duck and elk and all kinds of other dead animals. There were about two starters and two entrees that were vegan. Most were raw. I wanted something more substantial, so I ordered the "Organic Millet Cake," which can be made vegan if they leave off the yogurt. It was fine. Served with carrots and bok choy. Probably not worth the $22 price tag. Also, the place was really fancy and dark, and I couldn't even read the menu. Not a place I would go again.

Pros: Vegan Options

Cons: Very Few Vegan Options, Dark, Overpriced

Closing Cafe

I got into the cafe about half an hour before closing and they were so friendly! I didn't feel rushed at all. I got a delicious raw veggie wrap on a sprouted grain tortilla. The cashew cheeze on it was beyond amazing.
I also recently got raw cheesecake there, which was stellar. A lot better than some vegan cheesecakes I've had! The new chefs have great attitudes and produced scrumptious fare.

All in all, a great store and cafe for vegetarians, vegans, and raw foodists.

Pros: raw food, friendly staff, delicious food

Cons: not open past 7pm
