best vegan burger of my life - Edit
In my 20 years of vegan experience I've never tasted such a unique burger! The spices of the kimchi were so special and in combination with the vegan burger it was a nice surprise. The service was also really friendly, the hostess explained the menu to me in a detailed way and the back story behind the products.

Watch out!! Beef served instead of vegan - Edit
I will not come back here, they served a beef burger instead of the vegan Kimchi burger even though we very specifically ordered it as vegan (also indicated on the menu) and the waitress indicated the meal as vegan when delivering it.

MUCH Better than my vegan expectation - Edit
NB would give 5 stars but site guidelines say unless fully vegetarian or vegan cannot give 5. As the ethos of the restaurant though predominantly veg is to allow anyone with a strong food preference to eat there alongside others with different preferences, I saw that as a positive (even tho I'm 45 years+ a vegan ....). My wife (omnivore) and I (vegan) looked for good places for an evening meal in Leiden and found Blossom for a Thursday night. I'd seen there was a sharing mezze option of a number of dishes and vegan options and didn't think much more about it. It exceeded our expectations: very tasty dishes with a twist even on the most familiar items. Highlights for us were a) the falafels which were the joint best we've ever had and b) marinated (to transformational) tempeh. Very relaxing place to eat (and talk) in with lovely music selection. Service very friendly and accommodating. Would recommend to any vegans - or anyone else.

The place looks really cozy and the food was great. I just thought the high tea portion was a bit small, the cakes could be a bit bigger. But I would recommend it anyway. Very friendly staff!

Portions looked small but were very filling. We had the vegan mezze platter with Tempeh, where each dish was really really tasty. The kimchi melt was a highlight.
Read moreOur one gripe would be that it's a tad expensive for what you get. For example it would be nice if the platter came with some bread, as it contained several dips, instead of being recommended to order bread with it.

We honestly didn't think the pictures looked too great, but the food was amazing! We ordered the vegan wrap and blt. The wrap was good but the blt stole the show! So yummy. We are visiting but definitely going to make time to go back.

The food was tasty and there were several vegan options. I did find it very busy inside. It is located next to a concept store for children, so there were tables full of mothers with babies. Since I'm not, I felt less at home there and I could hardly hear my girlfriend

I had a very refreshing Mango Bowl with a Lemon Ginger Iced Tea. Both were delicious and the staff were also very friendly and open to answer questions. They offer gluten free options if you ask for it for a little up price. It was also nice to sit right next to the canal.

This is excatly the restaurant that Leiden needed. The mezze formula offers a variety of little vegan of vegetarian dishes to share, which makes it a very nice evening out. All dishes taste delicious and are clearly made with love and care. Keep some room for the desserts! For stubborn carnivores some dishes with meat are available. The service is very friendly and makes you feel at home immediately. Don't go there when you are in a hurry. That would be a pitty.

They are now open for dinner Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. We did the shared dining which comes with five fixed dishes that can all be made vegan and one dish of choice per person (for vegans that is the Tempeh). It was delicious and just an overall fun experience! Very gezellig!

This place has seatings inside and outside and is allright. However, it doesn’t feel cosy, because there are shopping racks in the inside area. Also, you need to order via their website.
