I had the Cubano sandwich which was OK (without the mustard it would be better), and I shared with friends the cheese entrée and a dessert which were both really nice. I also had the misantropic cocktail which was delicious!

Amazing food and wonderful atmosphere. Went with a friend and shared a Nomelette starter, Korean BBQ tofu and Fried chickwheat with bearnaise sauce & hasselback potato main courses. The latter was particularly good.

Creative vegan comfort food in a cozy, artsy setting - Edit
I had been hearing about Blackbird in Gothenburg for a long time from my vegan friends, so I was excited to finally visit—and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, with lots of alternative art on the walls and plenty of plants, which created a setting I really enjoyed.
Read moreI ordered the fried “chicken” with béarnaise sauce and Hasselback potatoes, and it was absolutely heavenly. To drink, I tried their own Blackbird IPA—it was good, but a bit too flat for my taste. I actually preferred the Majornas “Kapardrottning” that my partner had.
The staff were very friendly and personable, which made the experience even better. I also tried their “Vegall,” a vegan take on the classic Pigall dessert, but unfortunately it was a bit underwhelming. That said, they are clearly very skilled at making drinks, and they offer great value—especially if you go for the cocktail of the month.
I also picked up some cheese and their vegan “beer sausage” to take home. I haven’t tried the cheese yet, but while the sausage had a great flavor, it was a bit too chewy.

I've been here around 30 times in the last 10 years since they opened. We always have julbord here, eat here on birthdays and on my möhippa! The food is always good and the menu change a couple of times every year so you can always try something new. The staff is very nice and the atmosphere is relaxed. And dont forget to bring home their vegan cheese! 😋

Wow, really incredible food! I was very impressed. Their cheese is so good, and it’s been such a long time since I’ve been able to eat jalapeño poppers. The staff is very nice and welcoming. I will say the atmosphere isn’t my vibe (a little radical), but they are super accepting and the food is absolutely worth it. I hope to come back!

I ate here and had a udon noodle bowl and the restaurant’s own beer. Both were fantastic and I couldn’t fault them at all! The only thing that holds me back from 5* is the small portion size for the, relatively, expensive price.
