Refused to prepare vegan dish

Unfortunately the waiter refused to let me order the vegan option (dumplings), saying it is too late for the kitchen. The restaurant was supposed to close at 10/11 PM (different info in various places) and I tried ordering the meal before 8:30. It’s a shame because the dumplings looked delicious. The waiter suggested different menu items when asked about possible vegan options, but they all clearly contained dairy/eggs and it was a bit hard to explain to him what vegan means, so I only ended up with a drink.

Pros: interesting drinks (kvass, kissel)

Cons: refused to prepare vegan dish, waiter was not aware of vegan/veganized option

Traditional Lithuanian food

They have only one vegan option and that's a traditional Lithuanian dish. We were told that it takes 40 minutes to prepare the dish but actually it arrived in about 20 minutes.

The food wasn't anything special but it was nice to taste Lithuanian food anyways.

The service was friendly but we had to wait for almost half an hour at the table before the waitress came and asked what we would like to have.

Pros: Traditional Lithuanian food

Cons: Only one vegan option

Cons: Takes too long

Lithuanian restaurant with one excellent vegan dish.

A more traditional lithuanian restaurant with lots of meat, some vegetarian options and one vegan dish.

The vegan grated potatoe dumplings (lithuanian zeppelins) are fantastic. Wish there was more of it.

Super nice, funny and attentive service!

Pros: One fantastic vegan dish., English speaking super nice service., Card and cash payment.

Vegan zeppelins are delicious

Yes they have one vegan dish - vegan traditional Lithuanian zeppelins - and they are SO good I would happily eat there often if I lived close. Yes the dish takes 40-50 mins to prepare, I read the reviews first so I knew this and was prepared. At least you know your meal is prepared from skratch and it was honestly SO good and good value too. I did not find it greasy, but tasty, but I guess everyone is different. Our waitress was great, too. Sad I didn’t take a photo, I will remember this food! Pro tip: unless you want to listen to really loud trad live music, don’t go on a Fri or Sat night after 20.00. It was an experience, but not when you are tired and overwhelmed. But worth sitting through for the food I thought.

Pros: Great taste, Good value

Vegans aren’t very welcome

While I would recommend anyone to go here for trying Jo, the service here was awful. First, most staff doesn’t speak any English. Second of all, there is one single vegan option, that will take at least 40 minutes to prepare. But most of all, the staff is very unwelcoming to vegans, my friend had to explain to the staff in Lithuanian what vegan means, and the reply they got was ‘oh so this person doesn’t eat anything?!’. We tried to get fried bread as a starter with the cheese on the side, this was a huge issue as ‘that’s not how the dish should be served’. My friend had a hard time helping me to get some vegan food, in general very unaccomodating.

Pros: Vegan Cepelinai

Cons: Staff is unfriendly, Long waiting time , Unwelcome feeling

Really good in my opinion

I was a bit hesitant to try these after seeing all of the reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. They were really good!! I recommend.
I’ve tried making vegan cepelinai at home and they were nowhere as good as these ones lol😄

Balls of Oil...

I went for the traditional vegan potato dumplings that everyone is raving about. Maybe I just got unlucky but they were drowning in oil and the caramelised onions and carrots were so sugary. Sadly I did not enjoy this but the vibe and service was good.

Pros: Environment , Friendly staff

Cons: Potato dumplings

Vegan taste of Lithuania

We went specifically for the cepelinai, which were themselves really well made. The 'bacon' topping is just overcooked veg, would be better with a real plant based sauce. We took one home and did just that.

Pros: Meat not meat stuffing.

Cons: Topping, No sauce

Good traditional food

Wanted to go there to test this tradition dish. Was not disappointed.

The staff was not friendly except our waitress who was really nice.

It's a place to see too, decorated old style.

Pros: Traditional food made vegan, Clearly labeled
