Great vegan Italian food - Edit
A wonderful little restaurant that has vegan options and is halal. The sausage and peppers with penne was outstanding and my wife loved her cheese ravioli. Chocolate cake was tasty

Incredibly overpriced, underwhelming food - Edit
They have an extensive vegan menu, so we ordered a few things while on a roadtrip. I should’ve trusted my gut and walked out when I saw the $26 pricetag for one plate of pasta. Would not be surprised if they prepared it with a jar of sauce off a store counter. Tiny space with no bathroom for customers, which is wild considering I dropped $80 on some ragu on spaghetti with some Aldi meatballs and two other similarly bad dishes. One of the weirdest dining experiences of my life, no clue how they have a full 4 stars for a non-vegan place. Must’ve gone downhill recently.

Excellent vegan section inside Costa Pizzeria - Edit
Separate vegan section inside Costa Pizzeria. Lots of options for classic New Haven style pizza, calzones, pasta, wraps, salas, subs, and wings. My favourite thing we tried was the pesto chicken pizza, but the buffalo wings were a close second.

nice for a quick bite - Edit
very small space, can hear staff talking very loudly while trying to eat… wish it was fully vegan but it shares a kitchen with non veg, a bit confusing like is bella casa a separate owner? food was okay… and hard to find street parking

Large menu - Edit
Inside a pizza shop with its own vegan menu, a decent sized menu. The turkey and cheese was good just wished it was more filled or had pickles. The garlic knots were fire too !

Sausage and Peppers - Edit
Did not realize this menu was inside of Casta Pizza. Had the sausage and peppers hot sub. Have not had sausage and peppers in a long time. The taste almost took me back to the San Gennaro Feast celebrations in NY. It was delicious. Red Velvet Cake was moist and delicious. Nice vibe.

location is great - Edit
walkable from both Yale’s University and hospital— seems to be a frequented restaurant by that crowd. there’s a good amount of fried food which isn’t my personal favorite but has a wide variety of options that aren’t. amazing vegan pizza here, large portions

Worth the 30minute drive - Edit
We had the chicken parm sub and it was amazing! I’ve been wanting something like that since I went vegan 8 years ago. We also tried the mash potatoe and bacon pizza which was so good! And to finish it off the cheesecake and red velvet cake were to die for.

Fine in a pinch - Edit
Da Legna was closed. We were looking for some vegan pizza. We found this spot! A really nice amount of options. I could see college kids loving it for some late night bites.
Read moreMy major concern were the prices that were a bit inflated in comparison to meat and dairy options. And they used common things we could buy in a store like their Buffalo Wings were the gardein ones- which isn’t bad, just not what I was looking for. Not my jam but could h be e someone else’s.
Pros: Lots of options, Quick, Friendly
Cons: Expensive

Lots of great options - Edit
Have ordered take out from here several times and have not been disappointed! The buffalo chicken wrap and quesadilla were both excellent. The steak and cheese wrap and tuna sub were pretty good, as well as the cheese bread and fries. The crispy chicken salad was okay but probably would not order again.

Cons: On the pricier side

Costa Pizza’s Vegan Side - Edit
This is inside Costa Pizza. It’s not really a vegan restaurant. BBQ “chicken” pizza is good!
Read moreA different time, we tried the sausage & pepper sandwich and another hot sandwich and those were overly greasy.
