Serves meat, vegan options available. In 2017 Beelman's Pub in downtown LA changed its concept to providing a fully plant-based menu. Find choices like the impossible burger, fries, hot dog, burrito, and beer nuts with chili. Reportedly no longer vegan as of Dec 2022, added chicken to the menu. Potentially my favourite vegan restaurant - Edit
A completely vegan menu with a complete range of options. We were in LA for 5 nights and decided to come back we were thy impressed! Flavoursome meals with good portion sizes, and reasonably priced. Truly delicious, I would definitely recommend. And I don’t think I’ll forget how good the tater tots are!

Absolutely delicious - Edit
Loved every bite. The flavors were exactly what bar food aims to be - savory, salty, hearty. I had the tonaktsu entree and Korean BBQ tater tots and both were absolutely delicious.

Good - Edit
I don’t drink but thought the food was good. Totchos were kinda too spicy for me, I couldn’t finish them. I normally like a bit of spice but I couldn’t do it.

Vegan Asian pub food - Edit
The slaw salad is clean and delicious! This place is active and filled with beer and vegan food. All the usual bar food dishes with Asian influence. Only in LA, I swear! Door guy kicks ass. Must have ID and be 21 to enter. I really liked the bar nuts. There are a lot of burgers, but they use Impossible meat and because that company tested on animals, I don’t consider them vegan at all. Plus Impossible has GMO ingredients. Anyway, Beelmans could switch to Beyond meat if they wanted to make sure they were serving vegan burgers (plus Beyond is gluten-Free and soy-Free). Fun place!

A Huge Let Down - Edit
The food SAVED our experience! From beginning to end we received horrible customer service from male bartender and male food runner!! Did not receive an hello but just a yes when trying to order, oh I forgot to mention this was my partners and I first time in this restaurant and we were so excited! Never asked or had items suggested. He immediately ask for payment after order and I felt obligated to tip him being there wasn’t a server so he wouldn’t judge me more and yes tipping is a must I’m in the industry! A total let down after driving 40 minutes to get here! We had to ask for our silverware and napkins, no straw for drinks and was ignored when asked for a to-go box but finally was given two after the 3rd ask. I really do not understand what was going on and what would make people treat anyone this way and would hate to think it was because of our skin color but that was how it was presented as if he was disgusted by us! It really upset me because we would love to explore the menu more but not sure of going back in, maybe Postmates but nothing like a in house experience.

Yummy burger! - Edit
The Impossible burger was pretty good, I liked it. I just think it’s a bit too expensive. But the portion size was nice and large. It’s cool to have a bar serving vegan food! Just a note; in the evenings/night time it’s 21

decent place. - Edit
I had the moco loco and also tried the chilaquiles and the tater tots. Chilaquiles were pretty plain, moco loco was good, but I’m not a fan of the impossible burger ‘meat’, but that’s just my taste. Kind of expensive, but a pretty decent place if you’re in downtown and want a drink and some vegan food.

LA’s first 100% vegan bar! - Edit
Tony’s takeover of Beelman’s with Chef Caroline taking control of the food menu is a turning point for Los Angeles. We now have a vegan bar! Good beer selection, good basic cocktails, great elevated bar food. With a nice front patio and comfortable booths inside, along with a long comfortable bar and full liquor list, this is a fun hangout for vegans and their not-yet vegan drinking friends.

So good! - Edit
The restaurant flipped to an all plant-based menu this week, and it's delicious! The restaurant feels cozy and comfortable, the beer is great, and the menu offers a variety of burgers, bowls and salads. Like the other review (so far!), I also ate my first "Impossible" burger and it was super delicious. My date said he could bring his parents to Beelman's and they probably wouldn't even notice that the burger is vegan... This restaurant/bar lacks the pretentiousness of some vegan restaurants, just feels like a super mainstream relaxed place that just happens to have an all vegan menu. The staff was very nice, and seemed enthusiastic about the change in menu. Close to Pershing Square metro stop. Excited to go back!

great food, great service! - Edit
I figured I should write a review since the bartender told me that I was the first person to come in explicitly because of the newly vegan menu. It was delicious! I had my first-ever Impossible burger which, prepared in a fairly basic way, more than lived up to the hype. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I look forward to seeing Beelman’s thrive as a vegan bar in DTLA.
