Great vegan option in New Rochelle

My non-vegan friends and I met at this cute cafe in Westchester. The menu was great with juices, smoothies, breakfast food, and lunch foods. There was a lot of gluten free options including waffles and pancakes. There were healthy and some comfort food options. It was like a little treasure trove in New Rochelle! I'm so happy they have something like this in the suburbs. We had the acai bowl, waffles, and the cauliflower buffalo wings. All the dishes were great, and my non-vegan friends liked everything!

Pros: gluten free options, many healthy options and comfort food options, great staff

Cons: It was a little bit cold (temperature)

Glad we found this place

Had some errands to run in the neighborhood so we found this place on happy cow and decided to check it out. A lot of the meat was beyond so we got the items that were more plant-based—Buffalo cauliflower, bbq jackfruit sandwich, and sweet potato fries. And the gluten free chocolate chip cookies. Everything was really good! 5 stars!

Pros: Well seasoned food

Cons: Most of the meat options are beyond

Cute cafe in westchester

Decent breakfast menu. This place is cute and clean with a decent menu. Some items seem overpriced but if you weed through it there are some good choices. I had the BBQ pulled jackfruit sandwich which was good (definitely spicy)

Pros: Now serving breakfast all day , Friendly staff , Witch bookstore

Cons: Some items are Pricey - $13.50 smoothie?

Limited Menu but Good...Takeout Packaging is all Plastic and non-ecofriendly

I just recently ordered take-out from this restaurant for the first time. I thought the food was really good. Hoping they add more dishes soon.

Separately though, I was surprised and disappointed to see the amount of plastic being used for the take-out containers. Every single dish was in a #6 plastic container which is extremely bad for the environment and is also one of the worst plastics to use. This type of plastic is polystyrene (PS) and is one of the hardest to recycle. It's cheap to produce, lightweight and it can be easily formed. It is very fragile and breaks up easily, ending up in the environment and oceans. Tiny pieces of PS can be found at many beaches and INSIDE marine creatures. Moreover, #6 plastic contains styrene which can be leached while heated. It is harmful to human health and can cause carcinogenic effects.

Vegan restaurants cater to a clientele who tend to be environmentally conscious. For example, one of the main reasons I'm vegan is because of how destructive animal agriculture is to the environment. Animal agriculture produces 65% of the world's nitrous oxide emissions which has a global warming impact 296 times greater than carbon dioxide. Raising livestock for human consumption generates nearly 15% of total global greenhouse gas emissions, which is greater than all the transportation emissions combined. As someone who cares deeply about animals, health and the environment (which are the top 3 reasons why people are vegan), I would expect a vegan restaurant to have eco-friendly packaging for take-out.

I'm unsure as to the reasons why this vegan restaurant was started, but I encourage them to stop using the plastic containers for take-out and delivery and look into more eco-friendly options. The huge amount of plastic that is being used here defeats the whole purpose of having a vegan restaurant.

I would love to continue ordering take-out from this restaurant, but will not be doing so until their take-out packaging changes to more modern, eco-conscious and non-carcinogenic options.

Pros: Good plant based food, lots of smoothies and lattes

Cons: Needs a few more creative main dishes, Needs to change their take-out packaging, Huge Plastic footprint. Needs to reduce.

Tasty food

I was headed to JFK for a flight and found this place on Happy Cow. I got the pulled jack fruit sandwich, it was really good. A thousand times better than whatever I’d find in JFK.

Finally in Westchester! Must visit!

Love that is near me! Crepes are on point! Also, tried the empanadas (meatless my fave) & apple cider donuts!. And had to come back for more 🍩 & share w friends & they enjoyed it. It’s hard to find vegan places w that touch of flavor that leaves you a good taste in your mouth. Def, I recommend this place to visit.

Pros: Very tasty, Friendly staff, My friends non-vegan LOVE it

Cons: Expensive but worth it as Vegan places are $$$

Nothing to write home about

Went on a Saturday afternoon. Walked in, freezing in there! the door has a open vent letting all the wind in 🥶 greeted by a kind staff member. He was nice and let us take our time at the counter to decide

Everything is really overpriced for what it is.. I don’t mind paying $$$ for good food, but these prices were a little alarming for counter dining experience vs sit down.

Got the waffles, bf got the chicken tenders and sweet potatoes fries. I also got a black hot coffee ($5 lol) I think the waffles were good but cold because it’s freezing in there.. my bf’s food tastes like something he could buy at Whole Foods, packaged reheated & served.

The women making our food was singing to herself with headphones on like she was in her bedroom. The man at the register was very kind and accommodating

That’s all. Ate, and was like ok…would we go back… probably not it was ok! But nothing to write home about.

Pros: Clean bathrooms, Kind staff/ fast service , Composable cups and silver ware

Cons: Over priced , Cold temperatures while dining

Mediocre at best

I was really looking excited to hear that there was a new vegan spot locally. Unfortunately, food wasn't on par with the pricing. Cook times need work. Probably not coming here again.

Cons: Ambiance, Food pricing, Food taste, lack of flavor

Super cute spot, food was okay!

Expensive for what you’re getting food-wise! Staff is kind, interior is super cute! Gift area also has many unique items to look through

The menu is limited. Ordered the cauliflower pizza and Buddha bowl

Both were okay- nothing beyond what I could make at home. Was happy to support a new vegan business. I will go back to try some other items , but wouldn’t order the same choices I tried the first time

Restaurant closed/Did not receive my pick up order

I ordered food totaling about $104 on 9/9. I ordered straight from their website for pickup. The first thing I noticed is that it automatically added $10 in tip for a pick up order which I quickly changed to $0 so please look out for that. Next I received a text that said my order would be ready by 5:20 pm. I went to the restaurant to pick it up and it was closed although the sign said it should be open. The restaurant was completely dark inside. I called the next day (today) and got no answer. Needless to say, since I did not receive my order I had to put in a dispute with my credit card company. I really wanted to support a small vegan minority run business, however this is unacceptable. You should not accept orders on your website when your business is closed. You should also say that on your answering machine and place a sign on the door to alert customers.

Pros: Meatless empanada is good

A refreshing vegan addition to Westchester!

I went on opening day and let me tell you, the MOST refreshing place to see in Westchester 🤩 The food is a perfect mix of healthy and comfort-style, and the menu is so extensive. Everything was fresh, and all ingredients are organic. I also love their crystal/witch-theme going on. Waffles I couldn’t believe that were gluten free, the perfect nooch-based cheese sauce on this Mac n cheese, and I LOVE these empanadas 🤤 Stop by! 🙏🏼 💕

Pros: Cutest decor, Kind staff, Delicious and fresh food

Cons: Pricey, Small space
