I ordered vegan sweet potato lentil curry, it was topped with microgreens and for some reason dill and parsley, but these were only on the sides of plate. Tasty, large portion.

I was a bit weary about ordering veganfood at the seaside. But I got surprised with a nice veganised Polish dish. I ate the placek po cygańsku. It’s a „potato pancake” with mushrooms and veggies.

Very delicious Polish lentil pierogi, rich in proteins and filling for your stomach. Finally I was not hungry after eating something plant-based in a non-veg place. I came there two times during 2 days, the second time I ate potato pancakes served with sauce and sallads. It was also reaally good but lentil pierogi were my favorite.

This place is not perfect. We've visited them three times, in 2019 and this June. Nothing has changed. The food sometimes lacked spices and there were problems with the timings, which i am not that bothered about. The worse part is the pricing. I believe I'd feel a lot better about this place of the prices weren't so high! Overall, as a vegan visiting polish seaside you might get desperate for a hot meal and that place is certainly enough but don't expect it to be the best experience.

Better take your own food to Hel, do not go there - Edit
[EN] I know it is probably the only vegan place in Hel, but I strongly advise you against going there. I ate the worst hash browns in this spot. Hash browns sauce was flavorless. There was a lot of fat on the plate, I felt as if the hash browns had swum in excess of fat. I know that hash browns are greasy food but cook should strain food from fat before serving. The upper hash browns were slightly crisp but the lower turned out to be soft slop (it is because of the sauce). Raw salads did not blend in with this dish at all.

[PL] Zdaję sobie sprawę z tego, że to może być jedyne wegańskie miejsce w Helu, jednak stanowczo odradzam wybranie się tam. Zjadłam tam najgorsze placki w swoim życiu. Sos do placków w ogóle nie miał smaku. Na talerzu było dużo tłuszczu, placki wyglądały tak, jakby w nim pływały. Rozumiem, że placki są tłustym daniem, ale wystarczy je odsączyć od tłuszczu przed podaniem. Lekko chrupiące placki znajdowały się na górze, te na dole okazały się miękką breją (to pewnie zasługa sosu). Surówki nie pasowały do tego dania totalnie.
Może i opinie na Happycow są w miarę pozytywne, jednak wbijcie sobie w Google to miejsce i przeczytajcie inne opinie - od razu zmienicie zdanie o tym miejscu. Dania niewegańskie również były słabe i niedoprawione. Nie polceam!

You can choose between sweet (really tasty pancakes) or salty vegan dishes. Every day the offer one or sometimes even two vegan soups of the day. It is a nice bar at the very beginning of the pedestrian precinct with attentive, friendly waitresses.

Całkiem miła i przyjemna restauracja. Można zjeść na zewnątrz. Szybka obsługa. Ceny ok. Zamówiłam placki ziemniaczane po cygańsku i były na prawdę dobre, jedyne co mogliby zmienić to dołożyć więcej surówek do dania (na zdjęciach wrzuconych przez innych użytkowników widziałam o wiele większe porcje surówek), w moim przypadku się nie wysilili. Na deser zjadłam szarlotkę na ciepło z lodami (lody na bazie banana, ale bardzo pasowały). Dobra kawa, jest możliwość wypicia kawy z napojem roślinnym.

Read moreEnglish speaking staff is very helpful and can point out vegan options and translate items on the menu (menu is only available in polish). Vegan dishes are marked on the menu that's on the chalkboard. Printed menu has its own section for vegan dishes.
Had the filled potato pancakes which were tasty but very oily and contained lots of garlic.
Nice outside seating.
