The owners are simply terrible business owners. More than 80% of their staff quit within the same month, last year. They claimed to have vegan breakfast sausage for their breakfast burritos. But the breakfast sausage was made with both milk and eggs.
The kitchen has only one cook top, so no matter what you order, there will be cross-contamination.
Spoke with several of their former chefs and all of them claimed mistreatment. They also claimed that the restaurant stole their recipes without their permission.
If not for the lack of vegan options, just don’t support this business because they don’t deserve your money.
Great seasonal drinks, friendly baristas, decent pastry selection. Their kitchen closes at 1 and has good vegetarian options, not as many vegan options.
I got a matcha latte. Luckily, I asked them about what sweetener they use because they usually use honey. I got them to substitute it out for simple syrup.
I really wanted a bagel with avocado, but they stop serving bagels after 1 pm. They do have a better assortment of vegan food than most coffee shops I have been to, but they didn't have anything else that was savory, so I didn't even up getting any food there. #Veganuary
