Had the mushrooms as a starter and the tofu steak as a main. Was really nice. Also a nice, quiet spot with calm atmosphere. My boyfriend is not a vegan and had the goat cheese starter and the pork belly main. He was also a big fan!

Plenty of vegan options but I opted for the tofu steak which was amazing! Husband made up for my vegan option with quattro formaggi pizza and said it was yum.

Had a great meal here, chose the Tofu Steak which is breaded & fried pieces of Tofu on a bed of hummous, pea puree & blackcurrant jam, it was honestly delicious, so flavourful & different to your usual vegan options. Would definitely recommend.

The tofu steak was absolutely delicious and a creative option that stands out from your usual vegan options that are plain and boring (beyond burger and pasta with sauce and veg). The tofu was crisp, the hummus was creamy, and the glaze was sweet and tangy.
Read moreBased on previous reviews, they offer a vegan cheese for the pizza but it wasn't listed on the menu. However, I highly recommend skipping the pizza and going for the mushroom appetizer and tofu steak.
Also the location is great. Right outside the city walls. Next to a park where the locals gather to play Bocci in the evenings.
No vegan dessert option.

I've never had such good pizza before. The dough is very fluffy and soft, the toppings very delicious too. I just wished there had been more potatoes on my pizza. They were very delicious.

Waitress stated almost any pizza could be made vegan with a mozzarella alternative and those that are easier to adapt are clearly labelled on the menu.

Very quick service and chilled atmosphere.
Randomly there are goats and chickens in a fenced off area could be a pro or con depending on your views.

Nice location away from the bustle of the city centre. Several vegan options, clear in the menu. Vegan mozzarella available for any of the pizzas. We had a pizza each and they were nice. Would return if in Valletta again.

Anfangs waren wir skeptisch, weil dad Lokal von außen nicht wirkluch ansprechend aussieht. Sind dann aber doch reingegangen unf schließlich waren wir an 3. Abenden hintereinander hier, weil es einfach so lecker war. Der Teig der Pizza ist außergewöhnlich gut und man kann alle Pizzen mit veganem Käse bestellen! the pizza was huge and so good, delicious vegan cheese that can be used to veganize all vegetarian options and there were even some other vegan meals available, menu can be found online in full, fair prices 🥰 5 stars! 👍

We've been there on our first evening and it was wonderful! From the outside it looks not very nice, but it's beautiful inside, very nice stuff and lovely food. We had the mushrooms as a starter, the vegan burger and began pizza. When we've paid we've talked to the owner and she was very nice 😊 would definitely come back!

I had the vegan aubergine parmigiana and the vegan vegetariana pizza. Both were lovely, and the vegan cheese was surprisingly good. There is a board of vegan/veggie options in the restaurant that lists more vegan options than are on the main menu. Staff are friendly and a great atmosphere, good value for money.

Came here 3 times during a week long trip. Staff go out of there way to help you. Small board inside which details vegan options as they're not all listed on the main menu. Most pizzas can be made with vegan mozzarella instead. Really cool venue with a great atmosphere, often live music on the weekends.

We went to Balzunetta twice. Our servers were friendly and knowledgable about vegan options, and we saw older, local residents hanging out for hours, which made the restaurant feel even more relaxed and welcoming. It was an easy walk out of Valletta, past the Triton fountain and about a block past the Independence Monument.
Read moreThe fusilli with vegan ragu was underwhelming, and the vegan spaghetti ta'Balzunetta 2.0 was ... interesting. I've never had such citrusy spaghetti. But the second time we went, we got our orders right! I recommend the vegan burger and the tricolore pizza with vegan cheese. They also have lots of local Malta beers, including several from Lord Chambray.
The large outdoor seating area is relaxing, just be sure not to sit too close to the community petting zoo because it smells like, well, a zoo.

We walked from Valetta to find this place as reviews were so good. We hadn’t reserved and although there were many tables this seemed to be an issue.

We booked for a quick dinner before a concert nearby. Expected some delays but they were very prepared. We had one vegan and one vegetarian pasta. Both were delicious.

This place fills up like crazy on a Saturday night, when there is a live jazz session. Lovely atmosphere and the vegan plate was really nice, with a good selection of plant based cheeses.
