Amazing way to spend an afternoon - Edit
The vegan afternoon tea is delicious and amazing value for money. Can be made fully gluten-free as well. Service is exquisite. Lovely calm atmosphere.

Go, eat, really!! - Edit
Beautiful setting within the hotel, very elegant, sandwiches were incredibly tasty and very fresh and I enjoyed every crumb… then came the cakes and oh so so good, 3 tiers of chocolate cakes, banana cakes and others, very filling and if you’re in the area I’d say it’s a must visit. Price is just over €30 each which sounds a lot for sandwiches and cake but this is next level. Service was prompt and friendly and plenty of room to just arrive and sit down, served between 2 - 6pm 7 days a week.

Afternoon Tea - Edit
It was well presented, everything was fresh and it was served in a timely manner. It was a lovely treat. The only downside was the size of the sandwiches - far too big.

Nice afternoon tea in a beautiful setting - Edit
We enjoyed an afternoon tea for 3 people. The service of the tea was a bit odd: we got our drinks a long time before any cakes arrived (perhaps tell them you want them served later) so there was nothing to drink when the cakes finally arrived (they took quite a while to come out). The scones weren't scones but more like muffins (I've made them vegan myself and it's definitely not hard to get them to almost like the real thing). And everything was smaller compared to past photos too. For €28pp, it felt overpriced. Otherwise, for the ambience, it was a nice experience.

Cons: Desserts look like they've downsized , Scones taste like muffins

Vegan afternoon tea a delight! - Edit
The Phoenicia is one of Valletta’s Premier 5 star hotels located just outside the city gates. We booked ahead for afternoon tea as a delicious treat after our massage at their wellness spa downstairs. The staff offered a faultless service from beginning to end. We were offered a range of drinks and we opted for the Prosecco followed by two rounds of tea. We chose the Earl grey to start followed by the crab apple and hibiscus tea which was divine. Their teas are high quality and there was a wide variety to choose from a tea cart. The staff were attentive without being over bearing throughout. The finger sandwiches consisted of a range of fillings. Pesto, mushroom, avocado and aubergine. These were tasty although I felt the bread itself was a little old and the filings felt not quite as fresh as I would expect. The tray of sweets which followed after were however very good, especially the scones with jam and cream which were served warm. Each cake offered something different and while some were rich and creamy (coconut) others were less sweet so it was nicely balanced out. We couldn’t finish everything in one go (it’s a lot of food!) However the staff are more than happy to provide a box to takeaway the rest. For €27 I think the afternoon tea is good value and within the wonderful surrounds of the Palm Court Lounge feels like a treat. Despite the issues with the finger sandwiches I would recommend this afternoon tea. Perhaps mainly due to there not being a good range of vegan options in Valletta overall (compared to London).

Vegan Afternoon Tea - Edit
Nice place for vegan afternoon tea - food was really delicious! Staff was friendly but super confusing - had the feeling they didn’t know a lot about their own menu and weren’t really keen on selling additional drinks… You wouldn’t really expect poorly trained staff in a place like this 😅

Great foodie experience! - Edit
The fully vegan afternoon tea is spectacular. Seated in the beautiful palm court you can enjoy a great selection of sandwiches, fingerfood, pastry etc. There are also traditional scones with cream (all vegan). Definitely recommend for vegan fans of Tea tradition. Staff is very helpful and knows about veganism.
