Homemade Deliciousness - Edit
The kidney bean soup (soup of the day) had a nice flavor with lots of veggies in it. The falafel wrap was so good I ate every morsel, everything being fresh and homemade and flavorful. My husband had the black bean burger with French fries...the patty, the bread and the fries all homemade. We shared a piña colada ice cream which was heavenly and was probably homemade as well. The building is an old saloon from the 1800s turned restaurant. Nice setting, fancy inside with mostly reasonable prices.

Yumm - Edit
I feel so grateful that there’s a place like this in The Dalles. I love that they have a separate vegan menu/section so that you wouldn’t have to scour the whole menu. Ate here with a friend a few months back and I really enjoyed the quinoa chili and the falafel wrap. They even had a vegan dessert, an ice-cream I believe??

Loved the Vegan Pasta - Edit
A really nice saloon with good food. They have a separate vegan menu. I had the vegan pasta and soup, which tasted both very good!

Outstanding - Edit
What a great find! This place has a separate Vegan menu with 4-8 vegan items and they also have a vegan desert. My wife had the Beans & Rice bowl that I had to help her finish as it was large and it had a great and unusual flavor. I had the Pita Wrap which was large and oh so good. Then we had vegan Pina Colada ice cream. Yummy! We will be back.

Vegan Menu! - Edit
Stopped here enroute to Portland at the advice of happycow, and we were happily surprised with several vegan choices. We ordered the quinoa chili and the falafel wrap. The chili was good, very normal, nothing too special, but filling and good. Ther falafel however was really really tasty.! Moist and flavorful, I highly recommend. Great selection of local micros on tap as well.

FIVE STARS! More vegan options everytime I visit! - Edit
Why will this app not allow me to give 5 stars?!?! Everything I have tried is excellent, from the cocktails to the vegan ice cream! They are always adding more and EVERYTHING is made in house!

Limited # of options, but delicious! - Edit
We went with friends who are vegetarian and really love this restaurant. It has a lot of history and has a great atmosphere. When we entered, the chalkboard at the front had "Vegan Options" listed so that was encouraging! The vegan options included the Quinoa Chili, Falafel Wrap, and a Hummus Plate (w/out cheese). Between the four of us, we got all three of these. I tasted the first two and they were to die for. This chili was some of the best I've tasted and the falafel wrap was scrumptious with a tahini dressing on it.
Read moreI didn't peruse the menu for more since these sounded so good and they were specifically pointed out by the chalk board. I'm sure their salads are great, although likely no oil free dressing options, unless you get creative.
The staff was friendly able to point out the vegan options in the menu. I will definitely stop here again!
