Back Werk-ing Overtime - Edit
Absolutely ravenous, but unrelenting in my desire for a quality, I - with zero reluctance - made this my destination of choice.
Read moreNow something of an old-hand at the ordering system, and with the list of available options practically imprinted on my mind, I swept through the selection process like the fabled Cotton-Eyed Joe.
Purely looking for ultimate satisfaction meant that I treated this like an opportunity to grab all the greatest hits. Of course the Kaiserbrötchen Kartoffelrösti was first on the team sheet and played an absolute blinder by being the best version that I’d had so far. Joining this illustrious line-up were the ever incredible pretzel stick, the wonderfully crisp and sticky Apfelkörbchen, and last - but by no means least - the supreme vanilla stick.
Though the focus was on things that I knew well, it wasn’t all tried and tested items that made it on to my tray. The duo of delicious kaiser rolls, chosen to provide a bit more bulk to proceedings, did their jobs perfectly, while the Borekstange Spinat was a triumph - certainly worthy of joining the hallowed ranks of ‘must haves’ in future feasts.
One major difference about my visit to this branch, which was something of novelty, was the fact that I was able to take the time to dine-in. Of course, this presented its own dangers as this meant I was practically within arms length of second helpings at all times.
Another stellar outing at what is undoubtedly one of the best bakery chains I’ve ever come across.
