Amazing mock meat - Edit
I had the bamboo stir fry with mock duck. They have different mock meats like chicken, duck, pork and fish to choose from with any dish in the vegan menu. My dish was delicious and filling! Highly recommended for any vegan or vegetarian.

You have to go there! - Edit
5 Stars ***** I have been to a lot of (Vegan) resteraunts in many different countries but that's my favorite place. Although they also serve meat etc. I have had the best Vegan food ever there. My girlfriend and I went there almost every evening, the owners are friendly and they have a cute little puppy called Baloo. Hope to be back asap!

Amazing Vegan Thai food - Edit
Some of the best vegan Thai food I have ever tasted. There’s a separate vegan menu, they don’t use MSG etc, they do spicy. As good as May Veggie Home if not better.

Cozy place with full vegan menu - Edit
The food is sold for a very good price. You can sit close to a tree and enjoy your meal at this quite and cozy place. The food is fresh and the curries are really good. Try the noname, it's tasty. Staff is friendly and the dogs are very cute.

Mock meat Thai food - Edit
Tried the ‘fish’ green curry which was nice and made a change from tofu. Also available ‘chicken’, ‘pork’, ‘duck’ and crispy tofu.
Read moreLots of traditional Thai food that vegans miss out on normally.
Some lovely cats around too 😊
Quite hard to find - need a taxi or scooter and the road want great when we visited.
Pros: Vegan versions of traditional Thai ‘meat’ dishes
Cons: Hard to find!

So many alternative meats and traditional thai food. Everything was delicious! Try the Larb and the lemon grass salad. Also the blue pea flower tea is very fun. Maybe the best restaurant on Koh Tao

Must go ! - Edit
A little bit hard to find, halfway between Mae Haad & Chalok. Not all vegan but the owners are vegetarian and there is a full vegan menu with lots of options. This place is a must visit in Koh Tao because it is the only one that has faux meats ! So many choices (fish, chicken, duck, pork) and great textures. Everything is delicious. It's a real thai food place so some dishes might be quite spicy.

Don't understand the good reviews - Edit
I went here with my omni boyfriend, and our dishes were both terrible. It took more than half an hour to bring our food, even though we were the only customers. I ordered fresh spring rolls but was served fried ones (which I can't eat). I was told the tofu sandwich could be made vegan, but I'm pretty sure the bun (brioche) as well as the batter contained animal products. Do not recommend!

best in town - Edit
Wow! This place has a whole separate vegan menu now available with your choice of faux chicken, beef, pork, duck, fish, mushroom, and tofu as meat substitutes in nearly any meal on their substantial menu. The quality was outstanding! Good portion sizes, protein throughout, amazing taste, friendly family-run, excellent prices. We ate their Penang curry, noodle soup, spicy Thai fruit salad, fried ginger mushroom, rice, beer and coconut shake for just over 500 Thai Baht. We went every day while on Koh Tao Island. Amazing!

This place has the best vegan food on Ko Tao.
Read moreWe didn't find Babaloo until a few days into our stay, but we returned there daily afterwards.
Their mock-meat selection is amazing and the food is plain delicious. It can be a bit of a trick to get to, but the journey is well work it.
The atmosphere is awesome! You're right in the middle of the jungle. The shop has a few roosters that lord around the place like bosses, and there is a very persistent cat that keeps trying (and failing) to catch squirrels in the trees.
Pros: delicious, great location, cool staff
Cons: a bit tricky to get to

My Best thai food place - Edit
An experience not to be missed , Babaloo is one of the LAST real Thai Restaurant in Koh Tao, Where you get proper Thai Food for Meat eaters but also amazing substitute for Vegetarians and Vegans, Babaloo Mama prepares delicious fresh cooked Thai Dishes. The portions are generous for the price you pay, The romantic and relaxed atmosphere ( Far away from the crowd ) gives you an amazing home feeling with a touch of the Koh Tao nature surrounding you. Great value for the money !

One of the best vegan food - Edit
Among the best vegan food we had in Thailand! Next to #1: On (Kanchanaburi).
Read moreSeparate vegan menu, probably made by the vegan rasta son. He is a lovely guy always in for a chat and he will bring you back to positive thoughts if needed :)
Food was amazing, all the meat substitutes had their own taste and texture. I thought it was seitan they use, otherwise soy-protein. Just ask for it.
I definitely recommend the curries, springrolls, lemongrass salad, and just all the rest!
Too bad they sell animals but I am afraid that the circle of costumes would just be too small. But let's show that they can survive on only vegan/veggie costumers!
Follow instructions of the page and you'll get there. It's on the road to Sai Nuan bay. Enjoy!
Pros: Top Thai food , Vegan menu, Great settings
