Hearty Egyptian Food - Edit
The owner was very friendly and helpful about what is vegan and what can be adjusted. We had the Egyptian appetizer which was hummus-based and very yummy.
Read moreAs a main dish, we ate the eggplant stew. It was very delicious! (But don't be afraid of fat, it's fairly oily.)

Aya's is Amazing! - Edit
Aya's is just starting to get known for amazing vegan food. Get there soon while you don't need a reservation.
Read moreYou have to try the Aya's Taster Appetizer platter with falafel, stuffed grape leaves, tahina sauce, all the different varieties of hummus, and pita! It can be your whole meal.
If you are still hungry, then move on to your choice of entree, or take it to go. We recommend the musakaa; it's beguiling!
And if you are lucky, Chef Tarek might have a vegan dessert that day too.
Pros: friendly owners and staff, authentic Middle Eastern food, open everyday for dinner, weekdays for lunch
