Five By Name, Five Star By Nature - Edit
Never one to pass up the opportunity to delve into a raft of Asian dishes, I couldn’t resist ordering from here. I did supremely well to limit myself to just the majority of the vegan options (rather than all of them), but knowing what I do now, this uncharacteristic restraint was entirely wrong approach to take.

Normally, I would have had to schlep up to the counter to haul my order back to my table, but due to the fact that I was only customer in the entire venue the extremely kind -and presumably quite bored- staff delivered my selections to me. Regardless of the reason, it was greatly appreciated and put me in an ever better headspace.
Beginning at the lighter end of the spectrum, the fresh rolls were first up to be scrutinised. Beautifully presented, this was a dish that couldn’t have been more aptly or accurately named - they were indeed rolls and they were most assuredly fresh. The only addendum I might add would be tasty.
Next, their fired cousins, the spring rolls. Not as impressive, and slightly wanting in terms of quantity, but still wonderfully crisp and of a great standard. This insignificant quibble over portion size was the only negative I could muster and I realise that it’s more me being an esurient pedant than anything else.
When it came to the sweet potato curry and tempura veggies, I had zero objections. Both were ample servings and, more importantly, they were exceptional. The curry was rich, decadent and creamy, while vegetables had a gloriously sinful greasiness to them, but the batter somehow still maintained its satisfying crunch.
I know that when I return, I wont make the same mistake, I’ll be having one of everything. And perhaps two of some - just to be safe.
