Really fun place with delicious vegan comfort food. I got am amazing burrito with vegan sausage and franchensinha sauce that hit the spot. The french fries were perfection with a delicious mayo. The black bean burger was hearty and satisfying, too based on the bite I stole from my fiancé.

It was a bit disappointing actually, considering the reviews. Service was ok, but less friendly than anywhere else we were in Porto. Burger was nice, but not amazing. Probably guacamole and nachos were my favourite.
Read moreThe rice bowl was disappointing. I had a much better vegan bowl with similar ingredients in a non-vegan restaurant in Porto. Especially tofu in the dish could be better. One cake was good and one disappointing as well.

If we would have Apuro back home, we would definitely visit it often. It's full vegan, so no wondering if you can order this or that. We had mushrooms in white wine and French fries with a delicious sauce, both very tasty.

I came in pretty late and I was stoked to see they still had food going around 10:30. I had a soup which was some type of authentic portuguese soup, so good! and then i had a hot chocolate as well, it was quite thick almost like brownie batter but i loved it!

The place is really cute and the staff is super kind! The best thing about it is that the kitchen never closes so basically if it’s 4pm and you’re craving a burger you can order it. I had a homemade tipe of burger and i loved it, also they put oregano on the chips, 5/5.

Good casual dinner in Porto - Edit
My husband and I were in Porto in December and stopped into O Apuro for dinner. The vibe and menu are casual but good. We split the vegan cheese board and had the soup and sloppy burrito and really enjoyed everything. Our server was nice and friendly but seemed to disappear a couple of times so ordering/reordering was a little slow. I took off one star for that but, overall, we very much enjoyed our meal and would happily return if we go back to Porto.

Nice vibe, super friendly woman-run place. We got burrito wraps. Mine was stuffed full of sausage and seitan and potatoes with Francesinha which sort of tasted like bbq sauce to me, but I’ve never had it before so what do I know?Anyway it was really tasty and a big portion. Also had a nice piece of cake. There was a good selection of desserts including no sugar. Those options are made with agave.

I walked for 30mins to get to the place, only to find a sign in the door that they're closed from the 13th - 23rd of Nov! As HappyCow is for travellers mainly, not for locals, I'd expect a bit more responsibility, especially if one walks all the way to the place for a significant time.

On était dans le quartier Boavista près des jardins du palais de cristal. La rue n’est pas du tou animée, c’est à l’intérieur que ça se passe. La terrasse est à l’arrière. L’établissement était plein à 14h.

Just- everything. We had the cheese board and were blown away. Delicious locally made cheeses and hummus. Kombucha - delicious. The coffee and cream layered cake- best cake I’ve ever eaten in my life. I would have bought the entire cake. The thyme and lemon tea was also beautiful. I love the vibe, good varied menu, friendly people, fresh and delicious foods. I would like to have a salad section in addition to their burgers, bowls, toasts, etc and was surprised that they didn’t have that. But I got the falafel bowl which had some greens so that ended up ok and very tasty!

It’s a lovely bar with a cool atmosphere and furniture. You can bring human and animal friends with you, sometimes they seem to have life music. The staff is very friendly. I had just some snacks with my family but I am really surprised. The vegan cheese was brilliant, also the fries, the nuggets and the cake. I can understand why this bar has so many good reviews. You should visit it!
