Food good but service a bit impersonal - Edit
Hard to not be able to find Aobaba - had a whole collection of brightly coloured lampshades / lanterns covering the front of the restaurant. Also had menu boards outside. Accurately located on google maps, as 2nd store north of Uomachi in third block west of Otemae dori.
Read moreUses tablets for ordering and water is self-service from beside the entrance. There was very little interaction with the staff at all so seemed somewhat impersonal. Also music was on the loud side.
But food was good. Had the deep fried tofu in a sweet, hot sauce. Though that was all it was - no rice or anything else with it. But it was enough as a light meal. Probably would have gone well with a noodle dish.

🇻🇳 - Edit
Good all around. The tried tofu was delicious as was the noodle dish. The Bahn Mi was good, but didn't have much on it.

Tasty Vietnamese food - Edit
Clearly labeled vegan option page on the menu. We had the garlic fried rice, the fried noodles, and the spring rolls. Everything was delicious. A great option in Himeji where the vegan options are few and far between.

Lovely food - Edit
Lovely food but some confusion over orders meant hubby and I essentially ate separately. Worth a stop if you’re passing through like we were.

Great Pho - Edit
Eight vegan options on a separate all vegan page of the menu including vegan Pho which I definitely recommend. We also ordered the garlic fried rice which was good but not very garlicky, and the stir fried rice noodles which had delicious chunks of sautéed garlic in it so we got our garlic fix in the end.

Cons: Lack of garlic in the garlic fried rice.
