Delicious Brunch!

We stopped in at Anything But Beer for brunch after the Mountain Goat Run. I loved the space and I loved that there were so many clearly labeled vegan options on the menu!

I got the Chickpea Scramble, which was delicious, especially because it was served over home fries. The staff was friendly and it was a great place to spend time on a Sunday. I'll be back!

Pros: Many vegan options, Cool space

Lots of vegan options

I love their drinks, but I think some of the food options could be better. I did really enjoy the blueberry cashew cheesecake.

Pros: Lots of choices

Definitely a must

Everything vegan that I've had here has been tasty and great. The drinks are awesome too! We sat outside so I can't really speak to the decor.

Pros: Vegan options for both drinks and food

Cons: A little pricey

Didn't even get a chance to eat

We attempted to eat at Anything But Beer but unfortunately, we were sorely disappointed. We were excited to see plenty of empty tables when we arrived at 630pm on a Saturday. We waited at the host station while two staff walked by, made eye contact, and kept going. The third person finally asked if we had a reservation and we responded no. We were told that it would be a 45-60 min wait for a table but we could eat at the bar. We checked out the bar but there was no place to sit because it seemed everyone else had been told the same thing. The dining room had maybe five tables with diners while the majority of the room was EMPTY. It's insane to me that you would rather have empty seats than seat walk in customers, which is the MAJORITY of dining in Syracuse. Guess this place is just too fancy for us!

Pros: I hear they have vegan options?

Cons: Reservations only, Wouldn't seat us in their empty dining room, Very limited seating in bar

Exceeded our expections!

75% of the menu is either vegan or creatively veganized, all homemade, no processed daiya, impossible, etc. we had lentil-based “meatballs,” cashew-based fondue (with fried potatoes instead of bread for dipping), beet burger, bbq jackfruit with spicy corn grits, and Mac & cheese. Local beer plus their homemade gluten free ciders, excellent place highly recommmended.

Pros: Tons of vegan options, Homemade, nothing processed

Delicious and creative

Fully GF/grain free (though they do have one separate kegerator and system for other local brews that are not) kitchen and brewing location. They are extremely knowledgeable about cross contamination for gluten and animal products. They designed their menu specifically to ensure everyone has a wealth of amazing options to choose from.
Only 2 of the 6 entrees and 1 of the 9 appetizers on the menu are not listed as vegan or vegan option available. The food is far from thrown together. Even the items marked "vegan option available" are carefully crafted, not just the menu item with some things removed. Two desserts currently are vegan cheesecake and vegan Mexican chocolate panna cotta with a chocolate chip cookie.
Owners support local businesses and non-profits.

Pros: creative food, many many options, beautiful space
