I’m confused 🙃 - Edit

The food just isn’t great. The ribs were good... the burger was disgusting. Was like squashed up mushrooms made into some kind of patty sandwiched between soaking lettuce and a stale (yet toasted) bun. Don’t don’t get me started on the vegan cheese.

Pros: i can eat somewhere else next time

Cons: got to wait to make room for eating somewhere else

Very Hit Or Miss - Edit

Very cosy, comfortablle, rustic place. But let's talk about food. First off, the lasagna was incredible. One of my favorite dishes during the trip. We then ordered the Kombucha alongside, which was great too. The cheese platter was something we were super excited about, but unfortunately was nothing to write home about and didn't really taste 'cheesy'. Was a manageable dip or spread, but to label it as cheese would be disingenuous.

The Hot Somen looked a little different from the one in the menu. I'd ordered it primarily for the shiitake mushrooms, but turned out the dish just had the broth of the shiitakes. The taste was alright, if a little bland. The final dish was the soy yoghurt parfait, which looked absolutely NOTHING like the one in the menu. The menu showed this gorgeous red and white, layered parfait with berries and dry fruits. All we got was yoghurt with some corn flakes and some chopped apples. Again, the taste was alright but disappointing nevertheless.

Perhaps the other stuff would be great. The lasagna was spectacular. But the other stuff left a lot to be desired.

A cute place nice food - Edit

It was in a cute garden, the down side was a lot of mosquitoes

I had the veggy lasagna which had a lot of eggplant in it. It was very fresh tasting and pleasant enough but not super special.

Got the 5 vegan cheese board and really enjoyed it. Not quite like real cheese but still very good. It had a nice rye bread that wasn't sugary, which is not easy to come by in this region.

The raw tiramisu was frozen, I had to wait for it to thaw. It was nice without sugar and not sweet.

Over all, pretty nice but felt the portions could of been bigger. The salt was in a container that needed a filter as I ended up accidentally pouring loads over my food.

Pros: good rye bread that isn't sweet, unique vegan cheese board, staff was friendly

Cons: had a lot of mosquitoes, salt container needed a filter , portions could of been bigger

Great vibe and good size portions - Edit

The vibe here was really nice, the outdoor seating was lovely with a garden feel to it. We were put on a waiting list to get seats (Sunday lunch) but got a table quickly. Many vegan options on the menu, but we didn't really find anything special so we just went for two pasta dishes. The vegan bolognese was tasty (very tomato-y) and so was the mushroom pasta but the sauce was more like a soup, the pasta was swimming in it. Good size portions though. Would have wanted to try some vegan cake, but they didn't have any on that day...

Pros: Cozy garden, Many vegan options, Good size portions

Cons: Very soupy pasta dish

Great ambiance - but pricy - Edit

For Chiang Mai standards this place takes advantage of the vegan trend and charges for it. I loved the garden, although the relaxing/yoga style music was slightly irritating (the song just repeats a few words over and over for 10 minutes). The food was pricy compared to other restaurants in chiang mai. Staff was friendly, and menu had several different options you may not find easily which was nice to have a different taste. In my opinion lower the prices and this place is perfect!

Pros: Lovely ambiance in the garden, Friendly staff, Good selection on menu

Cons: Pricey in relation to other vegan spots, small portions, music needs an update

we will be back! - Edit

A vegan gem hidden away in a beautifully quiet area of Chang Mai.
Would highly recommend for adventurous foodies!
I always get excited to see how restaurants tackle meat & dairy dishes with their alternatives and Amirita Garden did not disappoint. The quiche was fantastic! I had to add a little salt to it but it was a seriously creamy mushroom delight! As was the 3 cheese cheeseboard! Obviously it was not like the real thing but the flavour was great and the cheese broke away in your mouth so beautifully! Apple salad was fantastically tangy and left me wanting more! To top it all of my partner had the spaghetti bolognese it was knockout! So rich and full of tomatoey juices! We also ordered some crazy Japanese fermented veg recommended by our waitress and that was very good too! So many interesting flavours!
This is just the food I am raving about! The restaurant itself is beautiful and has lots of charm!
Also the meal came to 705 baht with two beers each. This is about an average price for vegan food in Chang Mai and considering so much care is taken by the restaurant for everything to be freshly produced, organic and done completely by themselves this is an absolute bargain. It’s the equivalent of a special dinner back home in Glasgow for under £20.00! Well worth it and will be back!

Nice place, average food - Edit

Very cute cozy place with beautiful menu full of vegan food which looks great but honestly is average, a bit taste less. We had the cabbage steaks, eggplants and burger with cheese. I would try the Soba noodles next time. Lasagna was sold out (might be better choice). Don't expect too much and you will enjoy it.

Pros: cozy place, lots of vegan options, vegan desserts

Cons: average food

Lovely cafe and great variety of food - Edit

Beautiful garden setting that makes you feel like you're out in the country. Large menu, mostly Western items and the majority of the food is great. Loved the soba salad, rice ball with ginger, miso soup and mushroom quiche. The burger with vegan cheese was a bit of a letdown. Overall a great spot for lunch.

lots of vegan options - Edit

Amrita Garden has so much potential but a number of things let down it's customer service ... Amrita Garden has an extensive menu with lots of vegan options, the overall feel of the restaurant is very good and it has both inside and outside seating ... staff seen very reserved and provide minimal customer contact ... there are no table napkins and that distracts from the eating experience regardless of how good the food is ... I choose the basic vegan burger (฿130) that came on a wooden square without any additional salad or accompaniments ... the vegies were fresh and sauces were ok however the large patty had very little taste

Pros: lots of vegan options

Cons: no table napkins ???

No napkins... not trivial if you get the burger - Edit

No napkins... unfortunately even thought it seems trivial, that is my take away. I just had the best of the best, big, messy vegan burgers ever and I had to eat it like a dog. Food getting all over my face then wiping it off over and over again with a progressively more food covered hand and arm. It kind of ruined the experience. I asked for a napkin and they pointed me to the bathroom. Am I supposed to go to the bathroom after each bite??
So, great burger! However unless you have a mouth like Mick Jagger, bring your own napkins or towel or something.

Pros: Amazing Vegan burger!

Cons: No Napkins

OK food - Edit

I ate the burger with cheese and the tempeh. Both tasted flat, nothing special. My wife ate the lasagna which tasted superb. The staff was more interested in her smartphone than her customers.

Very nice place - Edit

We shared the vegan burger and soba noodle salad with my sister, and they were okay. Burger had too much sauces in it and was quite small to my opinion but the noodle salad was nice surprise even though there was too much dressing in it too. The atmosphere is perfect and the owner is sweet. Many healthy options. Maybe still would not go there again because the food wasn't so good.

Pros: Nice place, Healthy options

Cons: Not so tasty food

Great calm atmosphere, healthy food - Edit

A quiet place to relax and enjoy the good food. They have a great range of food on offer. Also some really healthy options. Service was goody but didn't speak English well. Free WiFi and water. Good prices, I paid about 100 bath for a meal. It's organic food, so I think it's cheap.

Pros: many options, healthy, organic

very tasty - Edit

It had such a good atmosphere and was so tasty! I had the biggest vegan burger I've ever seen and it was only 150 bath, so $5 Canadian

Cons: I did ask for no mayo and they put it on anyways, no napkins or cutlery at the table

Relaxed and charming - Edit

A small space with an outdoor veranda and indoor living room style setting. All open air, no a/c that I could see. Food was simple but delicious and nutritious. Staff were warm and welcoming. The owner's toddler boy came round to play with everyone. The overall experience was reminiscent of similar places in CM like Bodhi Tree or Pink House - relaxed and peaceful, like being in some local familiy's living room. Would go again.

Pros: Peaceful , Good deal

Cons: Hot on a hot day
