Health food store on Temiscouata lakefront. It offers a variety of bulk food, fresh fruits and vegetables, many vegetarian options. Couple of tables available for coffee and snack. Two-minute drive from the Transcanada Highway. Open Tue-Wed 9:00am-5:30pm, Thu 9:00am-7:00pm, Fri 9:00am-5:30pm, Sat 9:00am-4:00pm.

Very tasty and healhy food in a relax place - Edit
Driving on the transcanadian highway between Ontario and the maritimes, Amarante is a very nice place to stop by and have a healthy snack easy to digest and get back on the road. There's a grocery section and a couple of tables to eat there a tasty soup, veggy paninis and wraps, fresh colouful salads + very good coffee, muffins and energy bars. Kombuchas are also available. Ans all that on the lakefront where there a big park for the kids. There's also penty of parking.

This health food store is all you can hope for. You'll find local soaps, sprouts, teas and other products as well as vegan mayo, vegan cheese, tempeh, tofu and other things that are hard to come around in Témiscouata-sur-le-Lac (goji berries and all sorts of other items in the bulk section). The customer service is also great. It would be a nice place to stop when riding on the Route verte by bicycle.
L'Amarante est l'endroit où aller pour trouver des produits naturels/bio/santé : tempeh, tofu, lait végétal, fromage végane, mayo sans oeufs, etc. Il y a aussi une belle sélection de produits locaux (bijoux, savons, thés et tisanes). Les propriétaires sont d'une grande gentillesse et le commerce est très beau. L'Amarante est à deux pas de la piste cyclable à Cabano.
