Vegan baby shower cake - Edit
My family who is not vegan found Alt Eats and ordered a customer vegan cake for my baby shower. It was delicious and I now frequent alt eats for delicious breakfast and lunch food. So far I’ve enjoyed homemade soup, mac and cheese, smoothies, quiche, cookies and salad. Honestly every thing tastes wonderful.

Tiny place packed with flavor - Edit
Been to this tiny café a few times. Lots of vegan options to choose from. The owner is very friendly, accommodating, and sensitive to food allergies. Everything we’ve tried is delicious, but the salads and sandwiches are definitely my favorite.

Quick, convenient and delicious - Edit
Food was ready pretty quickly, delicious and fresh. There are a bunch of options and daily specials. Only non vegan items were a fried egg on a toast, and they sell some locally sourced honey but it’s not used on their food - confirmed the honey mustard is made with agave.

Very vegan-friendly, excellent (but not cheap) coffee - Edit
UPDATE 2019: This post has gotten even more vegan-friendly (it's gotta be like 95% vegan now? and 100%-vegetarian) and even tastier. I love the vegan mac'n'cheese now (especially the truffle mac)! It's become one of my go-to places for lunch. Great vegan sandwiches, pastas, salads, toasts, soups, pastries, hot dogs, teas, coffees. Often really interesting specials (check their instagram). Love it! I'll update my review to 5 stars. Note that because this cafe used to be not-fully-vegetarian, the max rating allowed by Happycow for the older reviews was 4 stars.

ORIGINAL REVIEW 2017: I'd say about half the options here are either vegan or have a vegan option. The dishes are very inventive, but in my opinion, the quality of the food ranges from "incredible" to "meh". The best dish I've tried here is an innovative version of shakshuka (made with beans, not eggs). However, the vegan mac'n'cheese wasn't my favorite ever. The PB&J vegan yogurt was pretty awesome.
One of the best things about this place is the tremendous variety of vegan pastries, both savory and sweet. Donuts, cannolis, and savory pastries, too.
The coffee is incredible (and tons of options to choose from, including nitro coffee) but on the steeper side. Choice of several non-dairy milks.
The vibe is very cute and a little hipster - it really does feel like it would be at home in Brooklyn. I like it! Good addition to the area.

Great vegan donuts - Edit
They have smoothie bowls, avocado toast, and other small plates. The vegan donuts are are amazing! They totally blew away my nonvegan family. The muffins were kinda hard and dry though.
