Opened with no chef present. Disappointing. - Edit
The cafe opened for lunch with the chef not present and as a result the good we received was sub-standard. We ordered the vegan burrito and instead of getting what was described in the menu we received a burrito with uncle Ben's rice, vegan cheese and a few vegetables. Was bland and tasteless. We were then told that the chef was not in and the person who served us was alone. I am quite outraged that the cafe can open without the chef and offer items on the menu that can not be made to the proper standard. Shows a lack of pride in the food they serve.
We had lunch here yesterday - it’s a cafe now 😄 been informed it didn’t do well as a healthy food store in this seaside village. Small and unassuming eatery but the menu is full of good options for both vegan and Omni’s ( suited us) also had a take away pizza 1 week before it was good 👍
The Alive shop is a small, local grocery store with a focus on natural products. It's mostly dry goods and cooking staples, but there are also drinks, body care products, some sweet stuff, and a small selection of refrigerated items. It isn't all vegetarian, so be sure to read the ingredient labels. There's ample parking in the lot across the street.
