The best place on the whole island - Edit
There are not a lot of vegan restaurants in Gozo but thanks to this place it’s not even bad as you could go there every time you want to eat out it’s so delicious and they have a huge selection. We got the beyond meat burger it came with fried and a delicious salat and a chicken wrap just by it’s self was amazing! As desert we got the snickers cake cheese cake and it was just amazing!

So happy I found this amazing vege cafe. 90% of the menu is vegan. They have one pescatarian dish, which is questionable, given that eating fish supports cruelty to animals. It has been proven fish feel pain. Also with over fishing world wide!

So happy Alive is back in action. The food is so delicious and everything from the heart. Double check opening hours on their fb account before visiting, sometimes they have a shut down. The menu is vast, everything is made by the owner & chef - homemade hoummus, dips, salad dressing it was amazing. I had the Buddha bowl with beetroot patty, another day the superfood salad with marinated tofu, both were excellent. The coffee was good & the cakes looked exceptional, I tried one just made, almost like a chocolate brownie which was superb. Would highly recommend

Alive Bistro is always our go to eatery when we are in Gozo. As far as I know it is the only restaurant in Gozo which does not serve meat. They are not fully vegan, but they have a lot of vegan options. It has a really cool atmosphere, with a small park next to it, which can especially be nice, when sitting outside The staff is really friendly and the food is yummy, they are always trying new things on there special menu and each time you go there you find new amazing cakes 😋

I got there today (Friday in January 2024) at 4pm and the place was closed. No information at the entrance why is it closed. According to the Google maps information it should be open. I went to their Facebook page and it's closed permanently. They announced closing down in October and that they are hoping someone else will take over. I was so disappointed that it was closed, I traveled for nothing.

Alive Bistro have made the last two nights of my stay (and that of my two non-vegan friends) a pleasure! There are plenty of vegan options for starters mains and dessert and all of the ones we tried were delicious, if they were open all week we could have dined here all week! If you visit gozo, support them! I'd love to see them thriving when I return!

It was hands down my best vegan experience in Malta. The majority of the menu is vegan, and they also have vegan cakes! Everything we tried was delicious, lemonade included. It's a perfect place to sit and relax after a hike or a day spent on the beach. The staff is really friendly as well and they play some nice, relaxing music.

We had our best dinner of the trip here and have ordered delivery a couple of times as well as we weren’t staying close by. Definitely recommend eating in if you can as the atmosphere was lovely (and if you’re a cat lover you will be spoilt with the local cats coming to say hello). We have tried everything from the salads to the wraps and all was delicious, but the real star was the raw chocolate vegan cake which was heaven. Also loved the homemade lemonades and the fact we could pick up some oat milk to take home. Would give 10 stars if we could!
