We had mushroom croquettes, papas brava, mousaka meatballs Catalan style, seitan stew, mango salad and strawberry yogurt. Every bite was delicious. The space was clean and inviting. Staff was super friendly and professional.

Read moreI also felt lucky to visit on a day they were hosting a charity event to support a local animal sanctuary. Such a lovely initiative and it made the whole visit even more special. I’ll definitely be back!

Me llamo la atencion la carta pero pedimos el menú del dia, que la verdad no era para tanto. Pedimos a parte los langostinos en tempura y estaban riquisimos. Volveré para averiguar si la carta es mejor que el menú del dia, que la verdad era muy básico. Personal muy amable.

Read moreLast time we went with friends, we ordered some starters to share (jackfruit 'montadito' in white tartare sauce is a top pick, smoked tofu quiche, and mushroom croquettes), and as mains, we had veggie cannellonies with tuna gratinée, veg-meatballs, moussaka, and the best Kentucky fried tofu burger ever. I also recommend the cheese fondue with seitan. Desserts are delicious too.
They have a great-value lunch menu that's really tasty, and portions are generous.
100% recommend, we'll be back again and again.

We took a metro ride to Alive from Sagrada Família having booked for lunch. We hadn’t realised it was a lunch or set menu only which was a bit disappointing as we hadn’t realised seen the full menu beforehand. I had a vermouth and a glass or red wine, husband (non vegan) had 2 beers. We ate mushroom croquettes which were the highlight for us both, Patatas Bravas was an interesting dish served as slices of potatoes with a side sauce, this may be how it is served in Catalonia but we haven’t seen it like that before. Husband had the seitan sandwich and I had the Beyond burger. Had we gone for dinner I think we would have enjoyed the meal more as there were dishes we would have preferred. Nevertheless the service was pleasant and friendly and the food fresh.

Els tacos sense sabor a res i pagar 14€ per 4 tacos petits... Si al menos estigueren bons.
I el fricandó estava decent, però res especial per pagar lo que val.
En general molt car i poca quantitat, ens vam anar amb fam.
L'únic que es salva es el servei i que estiga en català.

Cozy restaurant with something for everyone. Unpretentious yummy vegan food and super welcoming service. We saw a lot of gluten free options on the menu too. Our kid loved it too!

Stopped in for lunch. Favorites were the tempura prawns and the quiche, which was very clean feeling with smoked tofu as a base and lots of veggies. Also had the vegan cod buñuelos and the vegan tuna cannellonies, which were good. We noticed in the things that were baked that there were some temperature inconsistencies, but otherwise quite enjoyed. The man at front of house was very kind and friendly.

Además, el restaurante está decorado con mucho gusto y están comprometidos con el activismo, por ejemplo, ayudaron mucho con la Dana y organizan cenas solidarias para santuarios.
Las croquetas de setas tremendas y las patatas son la perdición de mi hijo.
Los postres también muy ricos.
Muy recomendable para ir a comer o cenar.
A medio día tienen entre semana también menú del día.

I visited Barcelona in May (2025) and went to Alive for one of my meals (dinner). I had the fricandó since I wanted to try a local Catalan dish (a vegan version of course), and I thought it was good (though different than I expected). It was different from anything else I'd ever eaten--that's the point of choosing where to dine when I visit a place. I had the mushroom croquettes, a Spanish dish as well. I'll upload pics of the food and menu for reference. Prices were quite reasonable with maybe slightly below average portion sizes, and the service was good.

We waited for over 1:30 hour to eat. We took the potatoes and the lasagna. The potatoes were cold and tasteless. And small. The “lasagna” was tasteless too, cold inside and without any sense (too much ingredients). Do not call that lasagna (detto da un’italiana) Thanks!

Read moreWe ordered the Montadito de jackfruit (would recommend), stuffed potatoes (okay), zucchini rolls (should be paired with crostini), and smoked tofu quiche (more a pie, kinda cold in the center). We also got 2 desserts: textures of banana (surprisingly refreshing) and double chocolate pie (not too sweet).
Altogether if I was in the area, I would go again but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here.

They had a range of starters and ‘specials’ that were innovative and different, not the type of dish you always find at a vegan restaurant! I absolutely loved that, plus the food was delicious. Fairy well priced too.
