Bad Vibes Abound - Edit
I was treated so rudely by the hostess the first time I went here it really left a bad taste in my mouth. I told her I was vegan and she said there was nothing vegan for me. She said it in a condescending, dismissive manner; had it been said apologetically I'd have no issue.
Read moreUndefeated, I returned a second time. This time the owner was there and he customized a vegan dish for me. It was delicious. But it was flavored with a dash of passive aggression. He bashed vegan ethics in "jokes" while he made my dish.
This is 2020 not 1970. There should be not just one but several vegan options on the regular menu. Beyond disappointed.

Make sure to call a day ahead - Edit
I ate here for lunch today (though there's no separate lunch menu - you do pay the dinner prices) and it was great. I'd called the day before to let them know I was coming, so they had vegan pasta dough prepared. When I arrived the waitress gave me an option of three different kinds of vegan tortellini, and chose the butternut squash. The tortellini were fairly large, and came with squash, green beans, and celery root on top.
Read moreThe prices are a bit high, but the portion was large and very filling. The waitstaff was very friendly and knowledgeable about what was vegan (a salad and a cauliflower dish are currently options without having to call ahead). It's a small, quiet space that made it easy to chat and enjoy lunch.
Pros: freshly made food, tasty
Cons: need to plan ahead by at least one day, pricey, especially for lunch

Didn’t offer me anything but salad - Edit
Went in and asked the hostess stand if the restaurant could accommodate vegan and they told me yes. Sat down and was told by the waitress that I could only have a salad and that was it. Wish I was informed this before I was seated. The salad was ok.

I would eat here everyday. - Edit
I can not say enough good things or visit this place enough! Everything Nick makes is amazing and his edgy vibe is a breath of fresh air. Love calling ahead for a vegan dish and knowing anything he makes is going to be nothing short of amazing.
